Reduce plastic pollution
Build an environmentally friendly, low-carbon and green life
plastics
A great invention of mankind
The advent of plastic has made our lives more convenient
But improper disposal of plastic products
It will cause pollution to the environment
endangering our health
What is plastic pollution?
Plastic pollution is also white pollution, white pollution (White Pollution) is a visual name for the phenomenon of waste plastic pollution of the environment, which refers to the use of polystyrene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride and other polymer compounds made of packaging bags, agricultural mulch film, disposable tableware, plastic bottles and other plastic products are discarded as solid waste after use, due to random littering, difficult to degrade treatment, pollution to the ecological environment and landscape.
How does plastic pollution affect us?
1. Visual pollution
Waste plastic brings bad stimulation to people's vision, affects the overall beauty of cities and scenic spots, destroys the cityscape and landscape, and thus causes "visual pollution". According to statistics, global plastic consumption is growing at a rate of 8% per year, and the annual consumption of plastic will reach more than 700 million tons in 2030.
2. Marine pollution
Plastic waste enters the ocean to pollute the living environment of animals, and a large number of marine organisms die every year due to accidental ingestion of plastic debris. According to statistics, at least 276 species of marine life in the world have been killed by ingestion of plastic waste.
3. Soil pollution
The residue of plastic products in the farmland will affect the absorption of water and nutrients by crops, inhibit the growth and development of crops, and cause the yield of crops to be reduced. Landfilling plastic waste in large quantities pollutes groundwater. Due to the small density and large volume of plastic film, the landfill will be filled up quickly, and the ability to process garbage will be reduced; on the other hand, due to the soft foundation, the bacteria, viruses and other harmful substances in the landfill can easily seep into the ground, pollute the groundwater, and endanger the surrounding environment.
Fourth, microplastic pollution
Due to the refractory nature of plastics, the tiny plastic particles that exist in the environment for a long time may enter the human body through ingestion and respiration, affecting human health.
So, what can we do?
1. Enhance the awareness of environmental protection of plastic bans.
Starting from ourselves, we will actively support and publicize the plastic ban policy, and strive to be a propagandist and practitioner of plastic pollution control.
2. Establish a good consumption concept.
When dining out, do not use disposable plastic knives, forks, spoons and other tableware, try to bring your own reusable tableware, take the initiative to say "no" to plastic products that do not meet the relevant national regulations, and be more tolerant and understanding of all kinds of alternative products.
3. Develop green shopping habits.
Re-carry cloth bags, re-lift food baskets, reuse durable shopping bags, and refuse to use single-use plastic bags.
Fourth, choose green express products.
When receiving and sending express delivery, reduce the use of non-degradable plastic packaging bags, disposable plastic woven bags, non-degradable plastic tapes, etc., and promote the use of recyclable express packaging products.
5. Consciously participate in garbage classification.
Do not pile up or dump plastic waste at will, try to classify and put it in garbage as much as possible, and improve the efficiency of plastic waste resource utilization.
6. Be a good environmental protection propagandist.
Actively participate in environmental protection activities and encourage family and friends to use environmentally friendly products.
Let's cheer for "plastic reduction" and protect the planet together
