On the morning of April 21, the 2024 Yangtze River Delta Lucid Water and Lush Mountains Games Qiyun Mountain Xiake Ancient Road Climbing Race kicked off in Qiyun Mountain Ecological and Cultural Tourism Resort in our county, and more than 3,000 players from all over the country gathered in Qiyun Mountain to climb the ancient road and go to Spring Mountain together, interpreting the sportsmanship of higher, faster, stronger and more united with speed, and interpreting the infinite charm of healthy life with passion.
Hong Jie, member of the Standing Committee of the County Party Committee and Minister of Propaganda, attended and delivered a speech. Lin Xueji, member of the party group and deputy director of the Municipal Sports Bureau, Ma Xuehua, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the County People's Congress, and Li Shunbao, vice chairman of the county CPPCC, attended the opening ceremony. The competition also specially invited Li Zhixian, the winner of three gold medals in women's dragon boat at the Hangzhou Asian Games, as the leading guest. The event is divided into two groups: climbing group (men/women's 7 km) and walking group (10 km), and the essence of Qiyun Mountain is selected. Starting from the Qiyun Mountain Visitor Center, the contestants passed through Dengfeng Bridge, Jiuli Thirteen Pavilions, Wangxian Street, Yuehua Tianjie, Yuxu Palace, Fanglazhai, Ziyun Pass, Huali Nankeng and other famous scenic spots, passing through the Danxia landform and washing in the idyllic scenery.
It is reported that the event was co-sponsored by the Shanghai Municipal Sports Bureau, the Jiangsu Provincial Sports Bureau, the Zhejiang Provincial Sports Bureau, the Anhui Provincial Sports Bureau, and the Huangshan Municipal People's Government, and undertaken by the Huangshan Municipal Sports Bureau and the Xiuning County People's Government.
