There have been many "small construction sites" in Jinguyuan Community, Caohejing Street, Xuhui District, and a more "brand-new" Jinguyuan is slowly unveiling.
According to statistics, the proportion of the elderly in the residential area of Jinguyuan has reached about 50%, and the living environment and simple and dilapidated public facilities in the old community have not only brought inconvenience to the lives of the elderly, but also buried a lot of potential safety hazards. In order to better stimulate the enthusiasm of residents to participate in community transformation and advocate the public welfare and charity spirit of "a better community, benefit from moving forward", with the support of the Caohejing Sub-district Autonomous Office, led by the Caohejing Community Foundation, Shanghai Yi'an Dream Foundation donated 100,000 yuan through the Shanghai Senior Citizens Foundation to support the "Helping the Elderly and Replacing the New, Beauty and Common" renovation project of Jinguyuan Community for the safety hazards of the elderly and public facilities.
It is worth mentioning that this is also the first time that the tripartite linkage of municipal foundations, community foundations, and caring enterprises has been applied to the model of cooperation and support for community construction in residential area autonomy projects.
In order to make the implementation of this innovative model project more effective, the Caohejing Community Foundation went deep into the residential areas to understand the needs during the project planning process. Under the leadership of the General Party Branch of Jinguyuan Residential Area, the project plan is continuously optimized based on the actual needs of residents through active publicity, as well as "big visits" and "four hundred" and other methods. The "troika" worked closely together to finally focus on the needs of the elderly's daily life, health care for the elderly, cultural activities and other needs, and implanted in the plan to upgrade the warm heart hut, add safety railings and anti-skid facilities for passages, add community leisure spots and awnings and other renovation projects close to the needs of life.
It is understood that after the renovation, six high-rise residential buildings in Jinguyuan Community have added safety railings and anti-skid facilities for passages, and leisure chairs, awnings, basement security doors, table tennis rooms and warm houses have been added to the public areas of the community.
On the day of the start of construction, many residents came to the site, and the joy of the old people was beyond words. As the donor of the project, Jiang Dongliang, the initiator of Shanghai Yi'an Dream Public Welfare Foundation, told reporters, "I hope that on the day of completion, we can see the precise governance of the community for the elderly brought by the project, which can provide a more livable and nurturable community environment for the elderly, and improve the sense of security, happiness and gain for the lives of the elderly." The relevant person in charge of Caohejing Street said that he hoped that the good effect of the project could play a radiation role, enhance the cohesion and centripetal force of the community, and inject more enthusiasm into public welfare and charity while arousing more people's attention and respect for the elderly.
