Obviously, new energy vehicles have begun to replace fuel vehicles and officially become the main force in the automobile market. In fact, on March 16, Wang Chuanfu, chairman of BYD, predicted at the 2024 China Electric Vehicle 100 Forum that the market penetration rate of new energy vehicles may exceed 50% in the next three months, or even higher, but I didn't expect the results to come so quickly!
What's even more impressive is that Miao Wei, former minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said at the 2023 China Automotive Industry Forum that the replacement of traditional fuel vehicles by new energy vehicles has been formed, and the original goal of more than 50% of new energy vehicles in 2035 is likely to be achieved 10 years ahead of schedule in 2025 at the latest to 2026. And now it's actually 11 years ahead of schedule!
What many people may not know is that after several generations of efforts in China's auto industry, China's production and sales of new energy vehicles have led the world for nine consecutive years, accounting for more than 60% of the global market share. In 2023, China's automobile production and sales will exceed 30 million units for the first time, firmly establishing itself as the world's largest automobile exporter, and BYD is on the list of the world's top ten automobile sales for the first time.

Of course, it is a foregone conclusion that new energy vehicles will replace fuel vehicles, which does not mean that fuel vehicles will disappear completely. In the future, fuel vehicles will still have a certain market share, and may become a collector's item for some car enthusiasts like motorcycles. But the shrinking market share will eventually make it a minority in the market.
