In fact, the Strategic Support Force can be said to be a "new recruit" in the PLA, which was established on December 31, 2015, and has only eight years of history. Only eight years after its founding, the young Strategic Support Force has completed its glorious historical mission, and its "baton" of defending the dignity of the motherland and safeguarding world peace has been inherited by the new generation.
On 19 April, we once again witnessed history, and after successfully completing its historical mission, the strategic support force officially withdrew from the PLA sequence and revoked its number, while the newly built new-type information support force was officially unveiled! This means that the development and construction of our army has once again reached a higher level and opened a new chapter!
Under the current new situation, there is no doubt that "information warfare and electronic warfare" have become a new form of warfare, and "electromagnetic supremacy" has also become the focus of contention between the various parties in a war after "air supremacy and sea supremacy"! In the modern information environment, if an army does not have strong electronic information support, it will be difficult for it to gain superiority in war. During the Gulf War, Iraq's million-dollar Soviet-style mechanized "steel torrent" collapsed under the powerful superiority of the United States and the West, and this incident deeply shocked the rest of the world, including the mainland, and made all countries profoundly understand the tremendous significance of electronic warfare and information warfare. The same is true of the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, although the United States and the West have not directly ended on a large scale, but the Ukrainian army, with the support of the United States and the West early warning aircraft, reconnaissance aircraft, drones, etc., has repeatedly achieved major results, including sinking the cruiser Moskva, the flagship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, and shooting down the very valuable A-50 early warning aircraft of the Russian army.
Today, although the mainland has always loved peace, the surrounding countries are still not at ease with the support of the United States and the West. Therefore, in order to win the war in the new situation and in the new form, our army's information support unit came into being. According to the information that has been made public so far, the main responsibility of this unit is to provide all-round information support, such as information and intelligence collection, network attack and defense, and psychological warfare. In layman's terms, such a unit can not only sit in the combat command room to operate electronic equipment, but also go deep into the front line to fly unmanned aerial vehicles, and it can be said that the PLA is a new type of scientific and technological talent, technical talent, and professional talent.
Now, after the establishment of the information support force, the PLA has ushered in a new pattern of "four major branches of the armed forces, four major arms." These four major branches of the armed forces are the army, navy, air force, and rocket force, while the four major arms are the military space force, the cyberspace force, the information support force, and the joint logistics support force.
The mainland has such a great army, and the author feels very proud from the bottom of my heart!
