According to the records of "Xinjin County Chronicles" and "Xinjin Yearbook", Baofeng belonged to Changle Township in the early Qing Dynasty, and belonged to the fifth guarantee of Jinhua Town in the 29th year of the Republic of China (1941). In 1961, it was the Jinhua Fifth Brigade, and in 1982, it was renamed the Baofeng Brigade. In 1983, the Baofeng Brigade was changed to Baofeng Village. In 2005, the original Suolong Village was merged into Baofeng Village. In 2014, Baofeng Village was renamed Baofeng Community. At the end of 2019, Jinhua Town was revoked, and the entire Baofeng community was placed under the jurisdiction of Puxing Street.

The changes of the ancient temple of Baofeng Mountain
Baofeng is named after Baofeng Mountain in the territory. The Daoguang edition of "Xinjin County Chronicles" contains: "There are three peaks in Xinjin historic sites...... "There used to be an ancient temple on Baofeng Mountain - Baofeng Temple, it was named after the mountain, and the initial construction age is no longer available. However, according to the Daoguang edition of "Xinjin County Chronicles": "Baofeng Temple: Twenty miles east of the county, the villagers jointly built and opened the "Fengji Yixue". In the eighteenth year of the Republic of China (1929), villager Hu Kaiying (then the commander of the Fourth Brigade of the Sichuan Army) founded a private Fengji Primary School here. In 1951, the school was taken over by the government and renamed Jinhua Central School. In the 70s of the 20th century, the main hall of Baofeng Temple was demolished, and the teaching building of the school was re-planned, and then it has undergone several changes, and is now Jinhua Primary School in Xinjin District. Time has passed, and the former peaks and ancient temples are long gone, but the name "Baofeng", which is full of nostalgic memories, has been preserved and inherited.

Muma Mountain is very rich in mineral resources, especially rich in miscanthus salt. In the early 70s of the 20th century, two large-scale mining enterprises integrating mining and chemical industry were settled in Baofeng Domain. Baofeng ushered in the development opportunity, and gradually began to transform from traditional agriculture to industry, becoming the largest miscanthus production base in the Chengdu Plain, and the production of "Mushan" and "Jinma" brand Yuanming powder won the silver medal of national high-quality products, the Ministry of Chemical Industry Excellent Products and other titles, and exported to Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, Europe and other countries and regions.
The development of the mining industry has led to the prosperity of the commercial and service industries around the factory, post offices, banks, hospitals, shops, teahouses, restaurants, barber shops, etc. have also been opened, and the enterprise has also built supporting facilities such as staff dormitories and staff entertainment venues. In the 90s of the 20th century, the quality of life of the workers in the miscanthus mine has made a qualitative leap, with high wages and stable income, which makes everyone envious. Being able to enter the nitrate mine as a worker is a dream of many people, and it is even more glorious and proud for a girl to marry a nitrate miner.
With the development of the times, some outstanding private enterprises have settled in Baofeng, and the Jinhua Town Government has also moved here, which has become the political, economic and cultural center of the town.

The green life in the old mining area has changed
In 2009, with the construction of the outer winding line of Xinke Avenue, most of the residents of Baofeng were relocated and relocated to a new residential area, and many new factories and construction sites were built on the mountain, and the residents of the community changed from pure farmers to employees in the park. With the construction of the park and the matching of social security indicators after land acquisition, the quality of life and happiness index of residents have been greatly improved compared with before.
In 2010, Chengdu International Railway Hub Comprehensive Functional Zone, New Energy and New Material Industry Functional Zone settled in Jinhua Town. Soon, the whole area of Baofeng was included in the planning scope of Tianfu New Area. With the inflow of a large number of industrial workers and talents, the economic format of the town has become more diverse, and catering, logistics, and retail have sprung up, which has promoted the vigorous development of the business and trade service industry in Baofeng community. Up to now, there are more than 50 enterprises under its jurisdiction, more than 240 shops of various kinds, 1 hospital, 1 primary school and 1 kindergarten, and the new Chengdu Paulownia Primary School Xinjin Branch has completed the main structure construction.
After 2010, the two once-glorious mining enterprises in Baofengchang Town gradually faded into the limelight due to institutional and other reasons, leaving only empty factories, rusty mining equipment and a large area of slag as high as a hill.
In 2017, the Jinhua Town Government turned waste into treasure and waste into green, using the slag waste land piled up into mountains, planting trees and flowers, setting up mine cars, tracks, miner statues, observation decks, leisure sports fields, etc., to create a "mining memory" theme park.
This particular park is a testament to the hard work of the older generation of miners, who take a stroll after dinner as if time and space have overlapped and returned to that familiar and distant history. In recent years, in order to promote rural revitalization and the integrated development of culture and tourism, Baofeng Community has introduced the Deborah parent-child paradise project, revitalized the "Mining Memory" Park and the South District Staff Station Service Center, and created an Internet celebrity parent-child paradise, finding a way to regenerate this abandoned mine.
