In the case of high-speed operation, with the help of the sharp blade and antennae of the abrasive grain, the fibers in Shaxian are pulled out and separated into short fibers of 1~2mm long, and then the single fibers are further ground into fluff to improve the feel of the fabric and the style of the cloth.
The surface of brushed fabrics is short and dense, with a soft feel, and is often used in the production of clothing, automotive supplies, home textiles and other products. The sanding of this type of fabric is usually carried out before waterproofing, because the sanding grains in the sanding finish grind the waterproof fabric at high speed, which will seriously damage the waterproof membrane on the surface of the fabric, resulting in poor waterproofing effect of the fabric.
However, in the waterproof finishing of the sanded fabric, there may be problems such as demulsification and precipitation of working liquid, poor waterproof effect, etc., which may arise from the following reasons:
1) The fluff on the surface of the brushed fabric is loose and soft, and its fluff fibers may fall into the working fluid, adhere to the roller, and affect the waterproof processing.
Solution: Add a washing process after sanding and before waterproof finishing to wash off the fluff fibers remaining on the cloth surface.
2) Fabric softeners, fabric antistatic agents and other additives used in sanding are left on the cloth surface, which may affect the finishing effect of waterproof and oil-repellent agents;
Solution: Select a nonionic waterproofing agent (Texnology®FCB063) with good additive compatibility and processing stability, and conduct multiple groups of laboratory tests with pre-wash, and customize the appropriate amount of waterproofing agent and pre-wash agent for brushed fabrics.
3) Some brushed fabrics are not easy to absorb the working fluid of waterproof and oil-repellent agents, resulting in low liquid carrying rate of fabrics and insufficient soaking and penetration of rolling liquid.
Solution: Select carbon six (Texnology®FCB058) with better permeability, and use penetrant to provide the wetting effect and liquid carrying rate of the processed fabric.
