Hello everyone, I'm Elder Tang, and recently a meat friend asked: What is the difference between a fleshy cupid and Debbie?
Purple fleshy cupid
Succulent Cupid and Debbie introduced:
Cupid is quite similar to Debbie in some states, and the reason for this is because they are related by blood - Cupid is a cross between Debbie and Teyulian, so its leaves have some characteristics of Teyulian after it comes out of state, such as the back of the leaf is concave inward, the tip of the leaf is hooked inward, and the tip of the leaf is slightly heart-shaped. As for Debbie, it is a descendant of Peach Egg and Savina, so its leaves turn pink and purple like Peach Egg when colored.

How can you tell the difference between Cupid and Debbie?
I raise both the Cupid and Debbie meaty, so I know the difference between them. If novice friends can't effectively distinguish between them, it can be judged from two aspects, one is the shape of the leaves - Cupid's leaves are mostly like sticks with big heads and small bodies, while Debbie's leaves are like spoons with wide front and narrow back.

The second is the shape of the leaf tip. Because Cupid's leaves are very thick and contain half of the genes of the special jade lotus, the front end of the leaf is very three-dimensional, and in most cases it is heart-shaped. Debbie's leaves are very flat, but under the influence of peach eggs and Savina, the tips of its leaves are sometimes sharp and sometimes sharpened, but no matter how you raise it, the thickness of its leaves is not higher than Cupid, and its leaf tips cannot grow into the shape of a "heart".
The atavistic Cupid appears
Why is Cupid the same as Debbie?
Although Cupid has half of the genes of the special jade lotus, it is not very stable, if we put it in a sunny place to maintain it, its leaves will always be "stick-shaped", and the "love" of the leaf tip will not disappear. However, if our maintenance environment is poorly lit, then Cupid will have atavism, and then the leaves will become more and more flattened, and eventually "collide with Debbie".
There is no atavistic Cupid
As a meat breeder in the succulent "reverse hanging area", I have been raising Cupid and Debbie all these years, why am I so persistent?
Number one: both Cupid and Debbie are particularly easy to color. For those of us who have poor maintenance conditions, it is really difficult to raise more meat in a better state. But Cupid and Debbie helped us solve this problem - because they both carry the gene of peach eggs, they are particularly easy to color, as long as they can bask in the sun for half a day on average in spring, autumn and winter, their leaves will turn purple red in about a week, and they are not easy to fade in summer.

The second is that Cupid and Debbie are both easy to raise. I've been raising these two succulents for many years, and at first they were shaded and sheltered from the rain in the summers like other breeds, but then I found out that they were more durable than I thought, so I started to try hydrosols, and Cupid and Debbie didn't disappoint me – they survived both the rainy season and the summer. However, if the temperature exceeds 40°C in summer, then we still have to give shade to Cupid and Debbie, otherwise the leaves and stems will have problems.
Cupid jungle piles
The third is that Cupid and Debbie are not easy to grow. Although they are all succulent varieties that can "pile up", as long as our maintenance environment is not very poor, it is difficult for them to grow. Even if you raise it for about 4-5 years, it will only grow into a small old stump with a stalk (height) of about 10 cm, so if you raise more flesh and don't color, then you might as well try to raise Cupid and Debbie, I believe you will not be disappointed.
