On April 18, the launching ceremony of Jingyuan County's 2024 "Scholarly Longyuan - Reading New Era, Scholarly Jingyuan" National Reading Series Activities was held in Jingyuan County Cultural Industry Park. The event was hosted by the Propaganda Department of the Jingyuan County Party Committee and the County Bureau of Culture and Tourism, co-organized by the County Education Bureau, the Youth League and County Committee, the County Federation of Trade Unions, the County Women's Federation, the County Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the Jinghong Museum, and the County Financial Media Center, and undertaken by the County Library. Xiao Xuezhi, director of the Gansu Provincial Library, and Yu Fang, chairman of the Gansu Provincial Recitation Association and reading promotion ambassador of the 4th Longyun Book Fragrance Season, attended the ceremony.
The ceremony was held to unveil the Jingyuan County Circulation Station of the Gansu Provincial Library. Xiao Xuezhi said that Jingyuan County is a famous historical and cultural city in the western region and a major cultural county in Gansu Province, where the Yellow River culture, Silk Road culture, farming culture, folk culture and red culture complement each other. The establishment of the book circulation station will further expand the exchanges and cooperation between the provincial library and the Jingyuan County Library, and jointly promote the in-depth development of national reading activities. It is hoped that the Jingyuan County Library Circulation Station can manage, protect and make good use of the book circulation station, and attract more readers to enter the library by speeding up the frequency of book circulation, strengthening readers' reading guidance, and increasing reading activities, so that it will become the "most beautiful reading place" and "spiritual new home" in Jingyuan County.
Zhang Weibin, member of the Standing Committee of the county party committee and director of the Propaganda Department of the county party committee, delivered a speech and announced the official launch of the event. Zhang Weibin said that the people of Jingyuan have always had the cultural tradition of respecting literature and education, cultivating and reading heirlooms, and our county attaches great importance to the inheritance and development of excellent traditional culture, and regards "Jingyuan with the fragrance of books" as a key project of cultural construction. In 2023, the county will launch a total of 74 offline national reading activities and 180 online reading activities. In 2024, with the theme of "Scholarly Longyuan - Reading in the New Era, Scholarly Jingyuan", Jingyuan County will make full use of the county library, township branch libraries, community libraries and other reading positions to create a national reading brand of "Scholarly Jingyuan", let knowledge lead the new trend of civilization of the times, and make national reading an important force in the county's cultural construction.

The event issued a letter of appointment to the "Jingyuan County National Reading Promoter", and the Baiyin City Library donated books to the Jingyuan County Library.
