The theme of this year's International Day of Monuments and Sites is "60 years of the Venice Charter and the challenges of our time". The establishment of the Northeast Modern Architectural Heritage Conservation and Repair Research Alliance is an echo of the Venice Charter and the International Day of Monuments and Sites, and provides organizational support and action guidelines for the response to various threats and challenges to the modern and modern architectural heritage in Northeast China.
The inaugural meeting of the alliance was guided by the Culture and Tourism Departments and Cultural Relics Bureaus of Jilin, Heilongjiang, Liaoning and Inner Mongolia, and was jointly initiated by the Puppet Manchurian Palace Museum, Heilongjiang Provincial Museum, Zhang Xueliang's Former Residence Exhibition Hall, Lushun Museum, and Inner Mongolia National Liberation Memorial Hall. The scope of participants was expanded to include cultural relics industry managers in the three provinces and one region of Northeast China, directors of modern and modern heritage museums, experts and scholars in the industry, and builders of specific construction and maintenance, focusing on the protection and repair of modern and modern architectural heritage in Northeast China.
At the meeting, Wang Zhenfen, director of Lushun Museum, read out the "Consensus Declaration of the Northeast Modern Architectural Heritage Protection and Repair Research Alliance" on behalf of the alliance. According to the declaration, the Northeast Modern Architectural Heritage Protection and Repair Research Alliance is a collaborative research community jointly established by the Northeast Modern Architectural Heritage Museum, researchers in the field of architectural heritage protection and repair, and builders of specific repairs of architectural heritage.
The alliance takes the implementation of the requirements of the cultural relics work policy in the new era and the promotion of the protection and repair of modern and modern architectural heritage in the three provinces and one region of Northeast China as its own responsibility, actively carries out research projects, holds academic exchange activities, builds a resource sharing platform, promotes the transformation of academic achievements, and strives to improve the overall level of protection and repair of modern and modern architectural heritage in Northeast China. The alliance has also established specific planning goals such as establishing a working mechanism for cross-regional collaboration, establishing an open and shared resource platform, establishing a professional joint laboratory, organizing academic exchange activities, promoting the transformation of academic achievements, and breaking through the discourse dilemma of Northeast architectural heritage.
Gu Yucai, former deputy director of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, delivered a keynote speech entitled "Protecting Historical and Cultural Heritage and Inheriting the Roots of Urban Culture" at the conference. The participating member units and experts also conducted thematic discussions on the hot issues and experience models of modern and modern architectural heritage in Northeast China.
The modern and modern architectural heritage of Northeast China is the legacy of various historical stages of modern and modern times in Northeast China, and carries special historical meaning and value.
