On the occasion of the 29th World Book Day, in order to promote the in-depth development of national reading activities, during the Public Library Service Publicity Week, the book exchange activities of Fengtai District Library in April are arranged as follows:
How to participate in the book exchange collection:
1. Fengtai District Library (Dahongmen Branch)

In front of the main service desk of the Dahongmen Branch of the Fengtai District Library

Event Schedule:
1. Book Restoration Rules:
It is limited to the free repair of page drops and loose pages of ordinary books. In the repair, if the page is damaged, the page is repaired and pasted to ensure the integrity of the page, and for the book with damaged cover, the method of glue repair and sewing is adopted to restore the appearance to normal. Restoration services are not available for rare books, rare books and books of special significance. After the staff has confirmed the book that needs to be repaired, please sign a book repair agreement and register.
2. Book Exchange:
(1) The exchange of books is a regular publication with healthy content, no ideological problems, and strong readability in the past ten years and more than eighty percent of the new publications.
(2) There is no obvious damage to the exchange books. Books that are defaced, drawn, soaked, or discolored are not eligible for book exchange.
(3) Internal materials, professional and technical books, current affairs books, teaching materials and teaching aids, and examination books are not exchanged.
(4) Periodicals do not participate in book exchange.
(5) No more than 2 books of the same type can be exchanged for exchange, and each person can exchange a maximum of 10 books at a time.
(6) After the acceptance of the exchange of books, in principle, the form of "one book for one book" shall be adopted.
(7) Picture books should not be less than 50 pages, and 3 picture books with less than 100 pages should be replaced by books.
3. Book Donation:
(1) Idle books must be official public publications in the past ten years (with a book number, no skewed edition, clear handwriting and picture printing), and the restrictions on publication time can be appropriately relaxed for literary and historical books, and Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and foreign publications do not participate in this donation;
(2) The content of the book is healthy, suitable for mass communication, and has strong readability;
(3) Books and periodicals that have been mutilated, defaced, discolored, or scratched are not to participate in the donation, and books and periodicals stamped with the collection seals of other units are not to participate in the donation;
(4) All kinds of professional and technical books, current affairs, textbooks and teaching aids, and examination books and periodicals are not eligible for donation.
(5) Provide 1 donation certificate per person each time.
4. Collection of local literature in Fengtai District:
(1) Scope of book literature:
Books and Literature in Fengtai District: Local Yearbooks, Local Chronicles, Local History, Local Overview, Genealogy, Travel Books, Thematic Data Compilation, Directory, Map, CPPCC Cultural and Historical Materials, Telephone Directory, Local Series, Literature Compilation, Atlas Collection.
(2) Newspapers and periodicals
Focus on the collection of district-level literature and major documents in the district, especially district-level newspaper and periodical literature
(1) Newspapers: focus on officially published party newspapers at the district and town levels and professional newspapers at the district level.
(2) Periodicals: district-level comprehensive, humanities, and social sciences are the focus, and formal and informal are eclectic.
(3) Chinese opera literature
All opera schools, social groups, and individuals in Fengtai District collect, compile or draw all kinds of publications and materials related to opera with preservation value.
(4) Floralistic literature
All towns, social groups, and individuals in Fengtai District collect, compile or draw all kinds of publications and materials with preservation value related to flowers.
(5) Non-library materials
Non-library materials such as pictures, objects, and audio-visual products that reflect various periods in Fengtai District.
