Xige Village is a small fishing village at the westernmost tip of the Bohe Peninsula in Maoming Binhai New Area, facing the Shuidonggang Wharf in the west and a dike away from Danchang Town in Dianbai District in the north, with a total area of about 5 square kilometers. In early spring in March, the chimes on the main road of the village bloom and sway in the wind, as if welcoming every visitor. Li Yuanjun said that the flowers were newly planted by the villagers in February this year, and more than 1,000 trees were planted. Unexpectedly, in a short period of time, the flowers are blooming.
"We regard the improvement of the rural living environment and the management and control of rural housing as the two major starting points for beauty and livability, and adhere to the model of 'party members and cadres taking the lead, paying attention to expressing the initiative, and villagers following suit', and successfully passed the acceptance of 'clean and tidy village' and 'beautiful and livable village' in Maoming City in 2022. Li Yuanjun introduced, Xige Village adheres to the principle of "returning the coast to the people, returning the beach to the people, and returning the seascape to the people", and the village's "two committees" implement the mechanism of "daily cleaning and weekly rectification", and carry out a comprehensive cleaning of the beach every day, and carry out a "environmental rectification" action in the whole village every week.
In the past two years, with the strong support of the superiors, Xige Village has coordinated more than 800,000 yuan of funds to build 2 comprehensive cultural activity centers, 4 leisure activity parks, 2 new public toilets, more than 20 old green and green beauty nodes, upgrade and transform 3 standardized sewage treatment pools, and carry out a series of global environmental improvement actions such as demolishing dilapidated houses and cleaning up disorderly construction.

It is understood that the project will integrate the beach, ecology, science and technology, and cultural tourism, and the first phase plans to build nodes such as the coastal plank road, the sea-viewing platform, the Xige conch, the art center, the camp market, and the plank road under the forest, and build a high-standard "city balcony" in Maoming and a Xige international tourist resort town. At the same time, the facades of 56 farmhouse buildings along the main road into the village of the coastal tourist highway will be uniformly upgraded and renovated to inherit the memory of the fishing village and retain the style of the fishing village.
In addition, Xige Village vigorously supports and mobilizes villagers to take advantage of the coastal area to develop new tourism service formats such as characteristic homestays, farm stays, small supermarkets, seafood processing shops, and snack bars with idle courtyards, idle houses, and idle vacant land, so as to promote the "full flowering" of rural cultural tourism.
Xige Station, standing near the sea, echoes with the sea. Standing in the sea view tower of Xige Station, one side is an endless sea view, and the other side is a beautiful picture of rural revitalization, which makes people happy. Nowadays, the titles of "Malay Sige" and "Xige Seafood" derived from Xige Night Market are gradually "popular". During this year's Spring Festival, Xige Beach attracted nearly 10,000 tourists to visit and became a hot Internet celebrity check-in spot near and far.
