Venus par excellence

Venus is one of the many cactus, and when it is loaded with grass, it is either a small one or a green plate. Friends who don't know it, don't think it's a cactus (it's not tall all the time), it's short (Figure 1).

Its flowers are golden and yellow, and the flowers are larger than the tall, which is its characteristic, and its flowering period is different from other cacti.
The normal flowering period of a cactus is only about 12 hours, while it can bloom for a few days (3-4 days).
It is a social plant, how big the disk is, how big the group, how big the stage, how big it is. I was really amazed by the effect when it exploded (Figure 2)!

Here I also share my little experience, hoping to help friends who like it.
1. Environment
I live in a rural area in Guangzhou. The weather in Guangzhou is so varied that you can experience spring, summer, autumn and winter in one day. But no problem, as long as it is planted in a sunny place. Venus it is light-loving, drought-tolerant, and hardy (the cold of Canton).
2. Soil
Venus has no requirements for earth. I used pure soil, granular soil, and organic soil, all of which were in a variety of plates. It's all capable of exploding. But it is better to use granular soil.
Small river sand, small stones, small ceramsite, a few dollars a bag of humus or organic soil, and some honeycomb coal, the ratio is about 4:4:2:4:1 (Figure 3).

If you feel troublesome, you can mix some garden soil, small ceramsite, perlite, and small river sand together, and you can also achieve the dazzling effect of full blooming flowers.
3. Use a plate
Use a low dish (20 cm+) with a large enough caliber, preferably a low bowl type (Figure 4).

Fourth, watering, fertilization and watering: first talk about the growth period (spring, summer)! Because during this period, there is more rain, basically do not need to water, but during the growth period, there is no rain for more than a week, just water once (water thoroughly), try to water at night, avoid exposure to the sun in the day. In autumn, once a week, in winter, you only water once when you remember, and if you forget it, you forget it, and it doesn't matter, you have to remember that in winter, you will die of drought (Fig. 5).

Fertilization: Set yourself a date to remember, such as the 1st. Sprinkle 10 to 20 grains of compound fertilizer directly on the surface (it doesn't matter what fertilizer, it's good to be cheap), and once a quarter in autumn will be fine. Not in winter.
Fifth, flowering maintenance
It's very simple, just remove the dried flowers after flowering, it has no disease, no insects, no snails.
In the end, it was the two main conditions, light, and drought in winter.
During the flowering period, if it rains, just move it to a place where it doesn't rain. Nothing else. To achieve the opening explosion, those two points. In winter, there is plenty of sunlight and it is better to be dry than wet (Picture 6).
