The Jinsha River Bridge in Xinshi is one of the important control projects of the high-speed along the Yangtze River, and it is the bridge with the largest span and the highest main tower in Sichuan. The reporter took the construction elevator and came to the 130-meter-high bridge deck to see that two 360-degree full-rotation bridge deck cranes weighing 320 tons have been installed on the bridge deck on the Yunnan bank of the bridge.
Xia Mingqiang, project secretary and chief engineer of the first bid project department of the Yangtze River branch line, said: "The Jinsha River Bridge will complete the capping of the main tower on August 10, 2023, and at present, the superstructure has completed the installation of 6 segmental steel truss girders and 8 cable-stayed cables, and plans to realize 'cross-strait hand-in-hand' in 2025, that is, the whole bridge is closed." ”
The Yanjiang Expressway is currently the largest single expressway project in China, and is called "the most challenging and representative engineering project in the entire mountainous expressway" by the builders.

The Yangtze River Expressway is a major support project of the national "Belt and Road" and the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and it is also a major channel to serve the rural revitalization of Wumeng Mountain and Yi District. The Pingshan section of the Yangtze River Expressway has a mileage of about 35 kilometers, passing through Xinshi Town, Qingping Yi Township and other places, and setting up 3 landing interchanges and 1 hub interchange, namely Xinshi, Qingping, Wujiabao and Yangliuba hub interchanges.
