"Sitting Sister Sanjiang" is China's first large-scale live performance of Dong ethnic customs, which opened on October 1, 2011, and is known as the Oriental Garden of Eden by tourists, the palace of love, and is deeply loved by tourists.
In 2014, it won the bronze drum award, the highest award for literature and art in Guangxi, and in 2018, it won the title of Guangxi service industry brand, and then won the 2020 Guangxi night cultural tourism brand "Guangxi Top Ten Night Performing Arts (Projects)" award, and in September 2023, it was officially selected as one of the top 40 in the national tourism and performing arts list, and was awarded the "Guangxi Night Performing Arts Brand".
The performance integrates the rich and colorful traditional cultural elements of the Dong region, such as architectural culture, farming culture, clothing culture, Yege culture, sheng dance culture, and wedding culture, to perfectly present the most beautiful, simple and romantic love story in the Dong area.
Singing and sitting on the sister is a traditional and romantic way for young men and women to fall in love, and it is a national marriage custom that the Dong people like to see. When night falls, groups of Dong boys will run to the beautiful girl's house to "sit sister", the young man will show himself by talking stories, ridiculing life, competing talents, etc., and capture the girl's heart, and the girls will be virtuous to play oil tea, cook duck porridge for the young men to taste.
