In 2023, the Cambodian branch visited a number of local insurance institutions, and after many comparisons, it finally finalized and handled hospitalization medical insurance for Chinese and Cambodian employees, organized a Chinese medicine medical team to bring free Chinese medicine services to employees, and put forward corresponding medical guidance and suggestions according to the situation of each employee. The local driver Atu suffered a sprained waist muscle and the pain was unbearable, and after receiving acupuncture treatment from traditional Chinese medicine on the spot, his symptoms improved significantly, and he stretched out his thumb and praised it frequently.

Huang Qiu'an, a veteran maintenance worker in the project department, has been following the project since 2012. Considering that he is older and has a heavy family burden, his eldest son successfully applied for a project maintenance worker, and his daughter-in-law worked as a cook, and the family worked together, and his work performance won the recognition of Chinese employees, and his life became better and better.

As one of the countries with the most public holidays in the world, Cambodia has a strong holiday culture. The project department takes the festival as an opportunity to carry out activities to spread the culture of the two countries and promote team integration with cultural integration.
In 2022, the Golden Port Expressway Project Department held a mini Cambodian New Year. At 10 a.m. on April 14, Cambodian traditional music sounded on the playground, and flowers, fruits and drinks were placed on the table in the "small room" decorated with stars and lanterns. During the Cambodian New Year, there will be "water battles" in the streets and alleys of all parts of the country, people will hold water guns, water scoops and other "combat tools", splash water on pedestrians and family members to wash away the bad luck of the past year, and will also apply talcum powder to other people's faces to show good luck. Accompanied by the music, everyone poured talcum powder on their hands, smeared it on the faces of the "brothers and sisters" around them, and saw Chinese colleagues, and chased after them to send this "auspicious", and the scene was very joyful. Through this activity, Chinese employees also experienced Cambodian culture up close.
Chinese festivals are also a window for local personnel to understand Chinese culture. Every Spring Festival, the project department will invite local personnel to celebrate the festival together, and everyone will paste the Spring Festival together, hang lanterns, eat Chinese New Year's Eve dinner, participate in garden parties, mini "parties", etc., to welcome the arrival of the new year together. When the territorial personnel see their colleagues, they will also "mischievously" say: "Happy New Year, Wishing you prosperity, bring red envelopes." ”
Learn the language and promote cultural integration
Cambodian PHIM THEARA, with a nice Chinese name "Weiwei", can speak fluent Chinese, mobile phone calls and messages every day, and solves all kinds of "help" of Chinese and Cambodian employees. She has been involved in the construction of the Golden Port Expressway since 2019. When she first came, Wei Wei had to assist her colleagues in the physical design department to find out the hardware and auxiliary materials market around the project, and in the face of a wide variety of auxiliary material names, Wei Wei would bring a small book every time she went out and learn vocabulary with her colleagues in the car. In a month, the two not only figured out the surrounding market situation, but Weiwei's engineering vocabulary also increased a lot, and the translator became more and more confident. Now, as a localized manager, Weiwei has become a "bridge" between Chinese and Cambodian employees, and she has also begun to participate in the construction of more external relations of the project and contribute to the construction of the project.
Another example is that Cambodian Ah Hui has followed the project department for many years, and when he first came to the project in 2015, Ah Hui could not speak a word of Chinese, and Chinese employees could only communicate with him by simple Cambodian language, mobile phone maps and gestures. In order to better complete the work, Ah Hui picked up the Chinese-Cambodian bilingual dictionary, learned word by word, and always loved to pester colleagues to chat after learning, and before he knew it, he became more and more fluent in Chinese. In just a few years of work, Ah Hui bought land in his hometown, bought two cars, and planted nearly 100 durian trees in his hometown, becoming a "leader in getting rich" in the mouth of the villagers.
In addition, Chinese employees are gradually learning the local language in order to better facilitate their work. "laor means good" "Men should be called bong, and women should be called bong srey...... Every day, Wei Wei teaches her Chinese colleagues a phrase used in everyday life, and the Chinese colleagues memorize the pronunciation of the Khmer language in pinyin. At the same time, Wei Wei will also ask colleagues some Chinese professional terms in the process, and the small "micro-classroom" has become a connection point for the cultural integration of the two countries. Employees learn something new every day and interact with each other. Nowadays, many Chinese employees can communicate directly in Cambodian when traveling, reducing communication barriers.
