In 2020, it was approved as a provincial-level leisure agriculture demonstration village, in 2021, it was approved as a "provincial-level local industry famous village", and in 2022, it was approved as an off-campus practice base of Jinan Young Pioneers.

As a green organic food, high-calcium cabbage has a good market prospect, and it is difficult to grow and has a high yield. The improvement of the "appearance" of the village has brought about the enrichment of the "connotation" of development. Dongtang Village firmly grasps the advantages of ecological resources, builds a research and study tour picking base with high-calcium vegetable planting, builds a handmade experience base with an intangible cultural heritage courtyard, creates an artistic creation sketching base with the beautiful scenery of the countryside, and builds an e-commerce sales base with characteristic agricultural products as the main body. Invest 1 million yuan to build a new 200-square-meter party and mass service center, while providing convenient services, use the conference hall to create an "e-commerce live broadcast platform", and at the same time recruit a number of enterprise partners with the "rural revitalization red partner" model, provide network resources and technical platform support, so that poor households can become "anchors with goods", and its hot-selling products such as heart tea, rose flower cake, and ecological millet are sought after, with sales of more than 50,000 yuan, plugging in the "cloud wings" for the development of the village collective economy.

Dongtang Village adheres to the guidance of party building, and in the form of cooperatives led by the party branch, the resource advantages of the village are transformed into product advantages, and then become industrial advantages.
