On April 17, Jiangnan Shipbuilding No. 4 Dock, a subsidiary of China Shipbuilding Group, ushered in the first undocking of the year, with a total of two whole ships undocked and two half-ships floating.
Overview of undocking
The two ships undocked this time are the second 93,000 cubic meter VLGC series ship (H2743 ship) built by Jiangnan Shipbuilding and the second 98,000 cubic meter VLEC series ship (H2782 ship) built for Wanhua Chemical Company. The floating half-ship is the third (H2744) half-ship of the 93,000 cubic meter VLGC series ship built by Jiangnan Shipbuilding and the first half-ship (H2661 ship) of the 7,800-space LNG dual-fuel ocean-going car carrier series built for SAIC Anji Logistics Co., Ltd.
This is the first time that Jiangnan Shipbuilding No. 4 Dock has realized the simultaneous construction of double-line liquefied gas carriers and car carriers. The two whole ships were undocked in good condition.

The second 93,000 cubic meter VLGC series ship built by Jiangnan Shipbuilding fully overcomes various unfavorable factors such as the uncertainty of the docking period and the limitation of the captain in the dock, continuously explores lean production in batch construction, implements the concept of "loading in the dock, trying at the dock", strictly grasps the complete hoisting of the general section and the integrity of the regional system, and achieves the "531" goal before the whole ship is undocked, that is, "five clearances" (hull welding clearance, engine room painting clearance, main deck room interior clearance, gas chamber clearance, liquid tank epoxy pouring clearance), " "Three Nets" (pipe network communication, power grid communication and information network communication) and generators to be tested.
At the same time, on the basis of "531", seven major breakthroughs have been made in the construction stage of the dock: power generation motor vehicles in the dock, dry centering, installation of chain devices in the dock, lighting of the whole ship, transfer of liquid cargo after installation, removal of 85% of the scaffolding of the whole ship, and intensive commissioning and inspection in the dock. It is worth mentioning that the ship completed the inspection of the generator and its auxiliary system on April 1, which is the first time that Jiangnan Shipbuilding has realized the "dock stage generator load test" node, based on which the ship has realized the undocking process without temporary equipment to provide kinetic energy, which has summarized the experience and laid a solid foundation for the subsequent power system load inspection of other large liquefied gas ships in the dock stage.

Jiangnan Shipbuilding achieved the "531" goal before the whole ship was undocked, and the engine room grinding, engine room cable inspection and whole ship lighting were realized at the same time.
H2661 boat
The 7,800-space LNG dual-fuel ocean-going car carrier series of first-of-its-kind ships (H2661 ships) and half-ships are the first time that Jiangnan Shipbuilding has built PCTC in the dock. With the mixing of production lines, the speed of PCTC construction is critical, and only by taking this first step can we ensure that the annual batch is undocked on time. At the same time, from slipway construction to dock construction, the construction team made a detailed planning and review plan around the semi-ship floating in the early stage to avoid risks, and timely improved and perfected the process and construction method according to the overall planning of resources and site changes, so as to ensure that it is consistent with the undocking rhythm of the liquefied gas ship.

The ship realized the end of shafting installation before the half-ship floating, and the main engine was hoisted and the 204 detachable board was hoisted, which further realized the predetermined indicators of "321", that is, the hoisting of 3 main decks, the hoisting of 2 liquid tanks and the sealing of the engine room, laying a good foundation for the construction of its subsequent dock stage.
It is reported that Jiangnan Shipbuilding No. 4 dock is expected to achieve 5 batches of undocking this year, and the scheduled undocking has started the first battle for the successful completion of the annual production task!
