Notice on the holding of the 6th Swallowing Disorder Rehabilitation Case Competition (South China) of the Swallowing Disorder Rehabilitation Professional Committee of the Chinese Rehabilitation Medical Association

All relevant units:

In order to actively promote the further development of dysphagia rehabilitation in South China, strengthen exchanges and exchanges within the industry, improve the standardization and advancement of swallowing rehabilitation treatment technology, and provide a platform for communication and display for the majority of rehabilitation professionals, with the approval of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine, the 6th Dysphagia Disorder Case Competition (activity code: XSHD2024-031) of the Dysphagia Rehabilitation Professional Committee of the Chinese Rehabilitation Medical Association is scheduled to be held in Xiamen, Fujian Province on July 20.

In this competition, outstanding teams from South China were selected to participate in the finals of the 6th Dysphagia Case Competition of the Dysphagia Rehabilitation Professional Committee of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine held in Xi'an in September. All units are cordially invited to send personnel to participate in the competition, and the relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

2. Registration conditions

1. The participating units have matured to carry out the diagnosis and treatment related to the assessment and treatment of swallowing disorders.

2. Participants are from Guangdong, Fujian, Guangxi, Hainan, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.

3. The participating team includes three doctors, nurses and therapists.

4. Participants should have solid theories and techniques in swallowing.

Teams that meet the above conditions will be selected for the semi-finals after the preliminary round.

3. Activity arrangement

IV. Registration Instructions

1. This competition is a team competition, divided into two parts: the preliminary round and the semi-final, the preliminary round is organized by the provincial and regional rehabilitation medical associations, the form is self-determined, and the semi-final is the on-site display of the participating teams.

2. The competition adopts the method of case PPT display. The criteria for making entries are as follows:

(1) Scope of participating diseases: There is no limit to the types of diseases in the competition, and there must be symptoms of dysphagia, and each team is limited to 1 case.

(2) The content includes: the basic situation of the patient, medical history, diagnosis, assessment, treatment goals, the formulation and implementation of rehabilitation nursing plans, and the evaluation of treatment effects

Swallow related content.

(3) Video standard content: main assessment, treatment operation process, VFSS and FEES images (if any), before and after efficacy comparison, increase the basic condition of the patient as appropriate, screening, evaluation, discussion, treatment and nursing, patient health education, etc. Pay attention to patient privacy protection.

(4) Content requirements: The entry materials should reflect the logic, standardization and novelty of teamwork, swallowing disorder screening and assessment, rehabilitation nursing and rehabilitation treatment.

(5) Reporting time requirements: the total reporting time is 10 minutes, the total length of the video is less than 5 minutes, the video can be linked to the PPT, but the video file needs to be attached separately, and the PPT is limited to the use of Office software.

3. Before 24 o'clock on July 12, the participating teams of the semi-finals should send the following information to the mailbox in the form of email (word document) [email protected] register.

(1) Participating teams need to fill in the "2024 Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine Swallowing Disorder Rehabilitation Case Competition Selection (South China) Registration Form".

(2) Copies of ID cards and qualification certificates of contestants.

(3) The electronic version of the group photo of the contestants (team members wear work clothes).

(4) Entries (PPT, video).

4. The semi-final will be held in Xiamen, Fujian Province on July 20.

5. The top 3 teams will be selected in the semi-finals to participate in the national finals of the swallowing case competition.

5. Participation

1. There will be team awards (including first prize, second prize, third prize and excellence award, the total number of awards shall not exceed 30% of the participating teams), and the winners will be awarded honorary certificates.

The first and second prize teams will be recommended to participate in the national finals.

2. Fees: This competition (preliminary and semi-final) is free of charge. The round-trip transportation expenses and accommodation expenses of each team in the semi-finals are at their own expense, please return to the unit for reimbursement.
