In order to actively promote the further development of dysphagia rehabilitation in central China, provide a good communication and display platform for rehabilitation professionals, and strengthen exchanges and exchanges in the industry, with the approval of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine, the 2024 Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medical Association Dysphagia Rehabilitation Case Competition (Central China) is scheduled to be held in Wuhan, Hubei Province on July 27.

The outstanding teams in Central China selected in this selection competition will participate in the finals of the 2024 Chinese Rehabilitation Medical Association Dysphagia Rehabilitation Case Competition to be held in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province in September. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

II. Participants

1. Units in Hubei, Hunan, and Henan that standardize the diagnosis and treatment of dysphagia assessment and treatment;

2. The participating team includes a doctor, a nurse and a therapist.

Teams that meet the above conditions will be selected for the semi-finals after the preliminary round.

IV. Instructions for Participation

1. This competition is a team competition, which is divided into two parts: preliminary round and semi-final. The preliminary round is organized by the rehabilitation medical associations of various provinces and autonomous regions, and the form is self-determined, and the semi-final round is the on-site display of the participating teams.

2. The competition adopts the method of case PPT display. The specific requirements are as follows:

(1) Scope of participating diseases: There is no limit to the types of diseases in the competition, and there must be symptoms of dysphagia, and each team is limited to 1 case.

(2) The content includes: the patient's basic situation, medical history, diagnosis, evaluation, treatment objectives, rehabilitation care plan formulation and implementation, treatment effect evaluation, etc., and attention should be paid to highlighting the content related to swallowing.

(3) Video standard content: main assessment, treatment operation process, VFSS and FEES images (if any), before and after efficacy comparison, increase the basic condition of the patient as appropriate, screening, evaluation, discussion, treatment and nursing, patient health education, etc. Pay attention to patient privacy protection.

(4) Content requirements: The entry materials should reflect the logic, standardization and novelty of teamwork, swallowing disorder screening and assessment, rehabilitation nursing and rehabilitation treatment.

(5) Reporting time requirements: The total reporting time is 10 minutes, and the PPT is limited to Office software.

3. Units that have obtained the qualification of the competition team in Central China should provide the following information before May 31:

(1) Participating teams need to fill in the "2024 Central China Dysphagia Case Competition Registration Form";

(2) A copy of the contestant's ID card and qualification certificate;

(3) Group photo of the contestants (electronic version);

(4) Entries (PPT, video). Please send all the above 4 materials to the mailbox in the form of e-mail [email protected] for registration.

4. Semi-final time: July 27

5. Semi-final location: Union Hospital Affiliated to Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology

6. The top 3 teams and the organizer of the Central China Competition, Union Hospital Affiliated to Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, will be selected in the semi-finals to represent Central China in the national finals in September 2024.

5. Other matters

1. There will be team awards in this competition (1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, and several excellence awards), and the winners will be awarded honorary certificates. The first and second prize teams will be recommended to participate in the national finals.

2. Fees: Participation in this selection competition (preliminary and semi-final) is free. Each team in the semi-finals shall bear its own expenses for catering, accommodation and round-trip transportation, please return to the unit for reimbursement.
