Xuefu Town's Sunshine Home Care Center for the Disabled, combined with the needs of the disabled, has carried out functional zoning design, including office area, day care center, rehabilitation area, reading and entertainment area, supported employment area, dining area, etc., equipped with computers, air conditioners, lockers, work treatment tables, non-slip chairs, etc., as well as 3 professional service personnel, 4 part-time service personnel, and the introduction of 1 rehabilitation doctor to provide professional, high-quality and appropriate services.
In 2022, the center reached a cooperation agreement with Jiangsu Tongling Group to subcontract part of the packaging work of solar photovoltaic wiring harnesses to the disabled people in the center. This supported employment has brought a total of 300,000 to 400,000 yuan of income to the disabled in the center, which is a typical case of economic and social benefits.
At this stage, the center is engaged in 23 people engaged in supported employment, driving more than 50 people to work in the surrounding area, and in 2020, the center will be established as a poverty alleviation base for the disabled in Yandu District.
