According to reports, on the 16th, three power outages occurred in three administrative districts, including Taoyuan, Zhongli and Dayuan, affecting tens of thousands of households; on the evening of the 17th, there were also power outages in Pingzhen District, affecting 1,709 households; on the morning of the 18th, Taoyuan District and Longtan District reported that there were power outages due to feeder tripping, and tens of thousands of households were affected.
Taoyuan Mayor Zhang Shanzheng bluntly said in an interview on the 17th that in the past 8 years, the DPP authorities have been absurd and sloppy in energy policy, and the phenomenon of power jumps has become more and more frequent. In the face of continuous power outages for 3 consecutive days, Taipower hurriedly came out to explain that "there is no shortage of electricity", and the causes of power outages are some of the high-voltage cables touched by animals, and some are because the old lines need to be adjusted and changed, and the complex environment leads to cable failures...... which "absolutely have nothing to do with the lack of electricity".
