Dongka River is the closest and most well-preserved contiguous ancient tea garden to the county seat. The ecological environment here is beautiful, it is an ancient tea garden that has not been disturbed, the tea is mainly orchid fragrance, with honey rhyme, the soup is full and rich, and the tea is rich.
Dongka River tea species belong to small and medium-sized leaf species, most of them symbiotic with the forest trees on the mountain, grow in the form of trees, no pruning and dwarfing, the age of tea trees is more than 100 years, and the area of ancient tea trees is 268 acres. The tea leaves of Dongka River are tightly knotted and black and bright, the mountain and wild atmosphere is strong, the soup is sweet, the tea soup is more pure, the soup color is golden and bright, and the yellow and green at the bottom of the leaves are more even.
"In order to ensure the quality of the tea, the fresh leaves that are picked every day are processed on the same day. Tea processing can be completed at the doorstep, which saves us a lot of time and cost. Lu Jinjiang, a villager in Dongkahe, said that the output of tea in Dongkahe is about 5 tons per year, and the output value can reach 2.5 million yuan.
In recent years, Menglang Town has aimed at the transformation of ecological tea gardens and the improvement of the quality and efficiency of tea products, by strengthening the management of ancient tree tea and terrace tea, and providing professional training for tea farmers in tea planting and processing, and at the same time encouraging the masses to actively establish tea primary production institutes and professional farmer cooperatives to further improve the quality of tea products, increase sales channels, and help tea farmers increase their income and get rich.
