"Guangdong Energy Dezhou Wucheng 100MW Fishery-PV Complementary Project is located in the area around Datun Reservoir, with many saline-alkali pits and ponds at the project site and abundant solar energy resources. It is estimated that the average annual on-grid electricity of the project will be 140 million kWh after it is completed and connected to the grid. "In the past, we have tried to raise crayfish in shallow water, and we have also achieved good economic benefits. However, we still have a part of the saline-alkali land that is growing traditional crops, and the income is not high, so we want to explore more ways to improve the use value of saline-alkali land. Chen Xiaoxuan, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Haowangzhuang Town and director of the CPPCC Liaison Office, told reporters.

As the name suggests, "fishery and photovoltaic complementation" refers to the construction of photovoltaic power stations in water surface resources such as ponds, reservoirs, small and medium-sized lakes, and adopts the mode of "water power generation and underwater aquaculture", which realizes the "double harvest" of ecological and economic benefits while continuously transmitting clean electricity. "According to the design, the project has an installed capacity of 100MW and requires 2,300 acres of fish pond water surface, which can save 1.1 million tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 130,000 tons per year while bringing power generation income. After the first phase of our project is completed and put into operation, it will form a complementary mode of fishery and light for on-board power generation and underwater fish farming, with an estimated annual power generation income of more than 6,000 yuan, which can drive more than 100 surrounding villagers to increase production and income. After entering the "14th Five-Year Plan", with the support of the goal of carbon peak and carbon neutrality, new energy has ushered in a new cycle of full-speed development. Our county has firmly established the concept of green development and actively laid out new energy industries such as photovoltaic and wind power. Photovoltaic construction is obviously restricted by the site, and saline-alkali land has become a new choice for the construction of photovoltaic bases. With the implementation of the "Fishery and Light Complementation" project, these photovoltaic panels can also shade and cool the crayfish and fish in the fish pond, so as to ensure the breeding income of the masses. After the completion of the project, the total installed capacity of green power in our county will reach 760,000 kilowatts, which can save 12.57 million tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 1.48 million tons per year, creating a good ecological environment for high-quality development.
