Public Prosecution allegations
From April 2017 to April 2020, Wang Mouwen (sentenced) organized Wang Mouxing, Wang Moubao, Yang Mougang, Zhang Mouqing, Wang Mouchao (all sentenced) and others to successively use online platforms such as Grand Lisboa, Galaxy, Paris Lottery World, and Venetian to open online gambling companies in Cambodia, the Philippines and other places.
After the company attracts people from China to Cambodia and the Philippines through various ways and methods, it confiscates their passports on the grounds of applying for visas on arrival, and urges them to work in the company by signing contracts.
After the company conducted business training for the defendant Liu Mouchao and others, it asked them to push the company's APP and links through the network, induce domestic gamblers to recharge money by adding friends and pulling people on WeChat, and gamble in the online platform by means of "lottery", "baccarat", "sports guessing", "number guessing", "betting on size", etc.
The company pays wages and commissions to employees according to the standard according to the different positions and performance of the company every month. After investigation, the company has issued a total of 1.156 million yuan to the 17 salesmen who have been involved in the case.
The prosecution argues
Defendants Liu Mouchao, Wang Mouge, Zheng Moudan, Lian Moulin, A Mouyang, Yan Mouyang, Ren Mouyao, Liu Moude, Wang Mourong, Lian Moule, Liu, Zheng Mouyan, Chen Moutong, Wang Mouying, and Lu Moupeng clearly knew that others opened gambling websites, and provided assistance to them to induce Chinese citizens to gamble on the Internet, the circumstances were serious, and their conduct violated the provisions of Article 303, Paragraph 2 of the Criminal Law of the People's Republic of China, the facts of the crime are clear, the evidence is credible and sufficient, and they should be investigated for criminal responsibility for the crime of opening casinos.
During the trial, the public prosecution presented relevant evidence on the alleged criminal facts, the defendants and their defenders conducted cross-examination, the prosecution and defense fully expressed their opinions under the auspices of the court, and the defendants had no objection to the criminal facts and charges charged by the public prosecution, and voluntarily pleaded guilty and accepted punishment, requesting that the court give a lighter punishment. In view of the large number of people in this case and the complexity of the case, the verdict will be announced at a later date.
Judge reminds
This case is a typical case of being lured by an overseas criminal group to work abroad, and then forced to engage in online gambling crimes. Liu Mouchao and others left the country to illegally "work", not only shattered their dream of "panning for gold", but also fell into the trap of a criminal group.
Here, the judge reminded everyone that we must beware of the scam of "going abroad to work with high salaries", and that when working abroad, we should keep our eyes open, and not be tempted to embark on the road of crime by the high "salary" promised by criminals.
The general public should raise their awareness of prevention, do not click on websites and advertising links from unknown sources, do not try any type of gambling website with a fluke mentality, consciously resist any form of gambling, and ensure the safety of their own property.
