A family of traditional Chinese medicine
In 1964, Song Zhaopu was born in a medical family in Ruzhou, Pingdingshan, Henan Province, and the Song family has been practicing medicine for four generations, specializing in traditional Chinese medicine to treat various orthopedic diseases.
When Song Zhaopu was 15 years old, he began to study medicine with his father Song Jingeng, inheriting the skills of traditional Chinese medicine, and more than 1.2 million patients have been diagnosed and treated by him for more than 40 years.
When other children were still reading in front of the comic books, Song Zhaopu had already begun to memorize the rolling melons of "Four Hundred Flavors of Medicinal Properties" and "Medical Sect Jinjian".

"If it weren't for that chance, maybe my life would not be what it is today," Song Zhaopu sighed deeply as he recalled his life for more than ten years.
In 2016, 52-year-old Song Zhaopu was already full of gray hair and looked much older than his actual age, but only he knew that the rapidly turning gray hair in the past few years carried the hope of more than 3,000 children with cerebral palsy.
In 2009, at the invitation of the civil affairs department, Song Zhaopu visited several welfare homes in Luoyang, Zhengzhou and other places, and it was this trip that changed his future life.
There are a large number of abandoned babies with severe cerebral palsy living in the orphanage, these children are as thin as skin and bones, their bodies are covered with bedsores, almost all children with cerebral palsy have difficulty swallowing, their respiratory tract is as thin as a layer of paper, and even the undigested food in the intestines can be seen.
Their hands are stiff and they can't hold things, some can't speak, their saliva is flowing, their faces are expressionless and their eyes are dull, this scene deeply stings Song Zhaopu, but this is also the real scene of the welfare home.
At the end of the inspection, Song Zhaopu immediately made a decision to "accept the abandoned baby with cerebral palsy in the welfare home back to the hospital for treatment!"
Even if he followed his father to save the life and help the wounded, he truly achieved the benevolence of a doctor, he couldn't bear to let these children go on like this for the rest of his life, and he couldn't be a doctor who didn't save him when he died.

In this way, he first took 20 patients with severe cerebral palsy back to the hospital, and then he began to inquire about children with cerebral palsy, and competed to recommend 128 cerebral palsy patients from all over the world to be admitted to his hospital one after another.
These children live in crowded welfare homes without parents and parents, perhaps unaware at the time, Song Zhaopu's arrival will become a warm light in their gloomy lives.
At the beginning, Song Zhaopu invited experts to go for consultation, and after half a year, the hospital invested endless funds to help treat children with cerebral palsy, and many people persuaded him to give up.
But Song Zhaopu was unmoved, and later there was no expert to prescribe his own medicine, as the dean personally took care of hundreds of children, and after half a year, many children have improved.

He decided to officially implement the plan to help children with cerebral palsy, and at first he estimated that the hospital had more than 600,000 yuan in liquid funds to support the treatment of the children.
But the actual bailout plan was much more difficult than he thought.
Embezzlement of public funds and sale of inheritance are just to save lives
The best time for treatment for cerebral palsy is before the age of 3, and Song Zhaopu understands that once the time is missed, these children will miss out on good treatment results.
However, in the welfare home, these abandoned children can only be raised, not saved, and the orphanage is simply not able to pay for the high cost of treatment, and most of these children with cerebral palsy have pneumonia and intestinal problems caused by cerebral palsy.
The child's age novel cries when he cries, and the nurse needs to be coaxed to feed him spoonful by spoonful when he eats and feeds the medicine, and the child will have a crooked head or spasms of his hands and feet when he gets sick, and the hoarse cry resounded throughout the hospital, but this is indeed the real scene of Jin Geng Hospital every day.
Not to mention the cost of treatment, the daily diapers required for more than 200 children is a huge expense, and 1,200 children cannot control their own urine and bowel movements.
At the end of the day, nearly 1,200 diapers alone will be used, and there are many children, so four or five boxes of milk powder are needed a day, and the monthly milk powder money is hundreds of thousands.
Coupled with medication, food and housing treatment, an average child costs 3,000 a month, not counting the salaries of nurses and rehabilitation therapists.
In the past two years, he has invested tens of millions of dollars in the treatment of children with cerebral palsy, and the bottomless pit of investment has made the hospital overstretched, and soon reached a situation where it is beyond its means.
In 2010, when Song Zhaopu was the most difficult, there was a shortage of hospital funds, and the money earned from seeing a doctor that day was basically invested in the child on the same day.
In desperation, he sold his house, but this only lasted for a few months, and then he reluctantly sold his father's inheritance and the hospital's storage of musk and other precious Chinese medicinal materials, and embezzled all the hospital's income to raise a total of 97 million.

For the sake of this group of children who never knew each other, Song Zhaopu stopped all his rest time, he worked hard day and night to see a doctor, and more than 100 visits a day made him have back pain, and sometimes he couldn't drink a sip of water a day.
In a short period of almost a few months, Song Zhaopu's hair turned completely white.
In 2010, 45-year-old Song Zhaopu fainted in the emergency room due to overwork and had a heart attack.

After several years of perseverance and meticulous treatment, many children with cerebral palsy have been treated and recovered, and more than 70 of the 128 abandoned babies transferred from the first batch of welfare homes have become normal after more than a year of treatment.
Since May 12, 2009, Song Zhaopu has led countless medical teams to treat nearly 3,000 abandoned babies with cerebral palsy at his own expense, of which more than 1,600 have returned to normal after careful treatment.
From a few months to a teenager, their lives have renewed hope because of Song Zhaopu's existence.

In 2014, a pair of twins with cerebral palsy in Puyang, Henan Province found Song Zhaopu, and for five years, he spent nearly 800,000 yuan to help the two children get good treatment.
In 2016, Song Zhaopu went to Hotan, Xinjiang for an investigation, and the local health conditions were extremely poor, and the treatment of cerebral palsy became a major problem, so Song Zhaopu once again took on the important task.
He transferred the group of Xinjiang children to Jingeng Hospital, and he paid for all their medical expenses at his own expense, and even provided free room and board for the accompanying parents.
