Notice on Holding the 2024 Academic Annual Meeting of the Geriatric Rehabilitation Professional Committee of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine (First Round)

According to the 2024 academic activity plan of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine, the 2024 Annual Conference of the Geriatric Rehabilitation Professional Committee of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine is scheduled to be held in Shanghai from September 6 to 8, 2024 (conference number: XSHD2024-118).
With the theme of "Collaboration between Institutions and Communities to Promote the Development of Geriatric Rehabilitation", the conference has 1 main forum and 7 sub-forums (standard-led rehabilitation sub-forum, neurological rehabilitation sub-forum, orthopedic rehabilitation sub-forum, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation sub-forum, geriatric orthopedic rehabilitation sub-forum, youth sub-forum and long-term care sub-forum), and invited many well-known experts in the field of geriatric rehabilitation at home and abroad to make special reports.

Instructions for the Geriatric Rehabilitation Skills Competition
In order to better solve the functional impairment of the disabled elderly, improve the quality of life of the disabled elderly, and enable the elderly to enjoy a happy old age, with the approval of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine, it was decided to hold the Geriatric Rehabilitation Skills Competition.
With the theme of "Collaboration between Institutions and Communities to Promote the High-quality Development of Geriatric Rehabilitation", the competition aims to build a platform for geriatric rehabilitation workers across the country to learn from each other, learn from each other, exchange skills, exchange experience, compete in technical competition and display skills, improve the professional knowledge, technical level and comprehensive quality of geriatric rehabilitation, show the professional image and spiritual outlook of geriatric rehabilitation workers, and continuously improve the quality and connotation of geriatric rehabilitation.
The competition was sponsored by the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine and the Geriatric Rehabilitation Professional Committee of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine, undertaken by Oriental Huakang Medical Group, and co-organized by Shanghai Association of Rehabilitation Medicine, Shenzhen Association of Rehabilitation Medicine, and Shanghai Clinical Research Center of Rehabilitation Medicine. 2. Participants
All medical institutions, rehabilitation institutions, elderly care institutions, medical colleges and universities engaged in geriatric rehabilitation, nursing and other staff engaged in geriatric rehabilitation can register for the competition.
III. Rules of Participation
(1) Competition format
Expert preliminary evaluation and final on-site report.
(2) Competition process and time
1. March 31, 2024 ~ July 6, 2024, case collection and submission stage.
2. July 8, 2024 ~ August 8, 2024, the preliminary evaluation of experts, the selection of outstanding works to enter the finals.
3. On September 6, 2024, on-site report, expert centralized review and awards.
4. Case-by-case requirements
(1) Requirements for individual entries
The selection of medical records should highlight the innovative, difficult and scientific nature of geriatric rehabilitation and care. The medical records should be true and comprehensive, the rehabilitation or care process should be complete, reflect the rehabilitation or care effect, and have reference and guidance value for the rehabilitation or care of the elderly.
(2) Materials to be submitted
1. Format of the case shall be submitted a case + case registration form composed of text + pictures (WORD, PDF format) + PPT or video and other materials (see Table 1 for details), presenting the main assessment, treatment operation process, image data, before and after efficacy comparison, adding the basic condition of the patient as appropriate, screening, evaluation, discussion, treatment and nursing, patient health education, etc. The name of the uploaded entry should be named according to the format of "name of the institution - department or department - name of the participant - name of the work", such as: Zhang San - XX People's Hospital - Rehabilitation Department (or Nursing Department) - XXX. The production should be illustrated, clearly expressed, played smoothly, and pay attention to protecting the privacy of patients, not exposing the information of the hospital, and the content should be positive and uplifting, and the time should not exceed 8 minutes. 2. Entry content requirements
(1) Nervous system diseases: stroke/Parkinson's disease
(2) Cardiopulmonary diseases: chronic obstructive pneumonia, heart diseases
(3) Locomotor system diseases: hip replacement/knee arthritis
(4) Rehabilitation of the disabled elderly: rehabilitation and nursing of different levels of disability
(5) Care of the disabled elderly: care for different levels of disability
3. Entry requirements
(1) The entries and materials must be the medical care and health care cases in which the participants are real, the patient's surname should be retained, the name should be hidden, and the real data query should be made, and the works of others should not be plagiarized or infringed on the copyright of others.
(2) The entries should reflect teamwork, screening and evaluation of functional impairment of elderly patients, logic, standardization and novelty of rehabilitation nursing and rehabilitation treatment, basic information of patients, medical history, diagnosis, evaluation, treatment goals/rehabilitation goals, formulation and implementation of rehabilitation nursing care plans, treatment effect evaluation, etc., and attention should be paid to highlighting the content related to geriatric medical care and health care, project effectiveness evaluation and influence, etc.
(3) Text requirements: All texts should be in small No. 4 Song font, and one copy of WORD and PDF documents should be submitted at the same time.
(4) Picture requirements: choose camera shooting, HD quality, the original picture is JPG or TIF format, ≥ 300dpi.
(5) Picture placement: All pictures are inserted into the document, and the serial number and name of the picture are marked below the picture, and the serial number of the picture is indicated in the text.
(6) Video requirements
1) High-definition shooting: the picture is clear (resolution 1920×1080, 1280×720), the key points are highlighted, the shooting scene is clean and tidy, and there is no noise. The video can be linked to the PPT, but the video file needs to be attached separately, and the total file size should be controlled within 500MB.
2) Video duration: no more than 8 minutes.
3) Video format: MP4 or other commonly used formats.
4. Entry requirements: Each unit is limited to 3 entries, and each entrant is limited to 1 entries.
5. Case selection criteria are in accordance with the scoring rules of the Geriatric Rehabilitation Skills Competition (see Table 2 for details).
5. Competition Procedures
(1) Preliminary evaluation
On July 8, 2024 ~ August 8, 2024, the judges will conduct a preliminary evaluation of the content of the PPT, and select outstanding works to enter the finals.
(2) Finals
The finals will be held in the form of a live competition. The on-site competition has 8 minutes to report cases and 7 minutes for judges to ask questions. The judges are composed of members of the Geriatric Rehabilitation Committee of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine and authoritative experts in the fields of medical care, health and nursing care across the country.
6. Awards and Certificates
1. Individual Awards: The first prize, the second prize, the third prize and the encouragement award will be awarded, and typical excellent cases will participate in the conference on September 6, 2024 to exchange and speak.
2. Team Award: Several outstanding team awards.
3. Organization Award: Comprehensively consider the participation of local organizations in the preliminary and final rounds, and award medals and certificates of "Excellent Organization Unit" to those with outstanding performance.
The number of all winners shall not exceed 30% of the total number of participants.
7. Fees
There is no fee for the preliminary round of this competition, and the contestants who participate in the finals must also participate in the 2024 Academic Annual Meeting of the Geriatric Rehabilitation Professional Committee of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine, and pay the registration fee according to the relevant requirements.

2024 Instructions for the Standardization of Inpatient Medical Record Writing Competition for Geriatric Rehabilitation Patients
In June 2023, the "Expert Consensus on the Key Points of Writing Inpatient Medical Records for Geriatric Rehabilitation Patients" was officially released, which will help provide guidance and reference for colleagues engaged in geriatric rehabilitation to standardize the writing of rehabilitation clinical medical records. In order to standardize the standardization level of medical record writing in the field of geriatric rehabilitation medicine, strengthen the construction of the quality connotation of medical records, comprehensively improve the quality of rehabilitation medical care, and promote the improvement of the clinical quality and level of geriatric rehabilitation medical care in mainland China, with the approval of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine, it was decided to hold the 2024 Standardization Competition for Inpatient Medical Record Writing for Geriatric Rehabilitation Patients during the Academic Annual Meeting of the Geriatric Rehabilitation Professional Committee, with the aim of "standardizing the writing of rehabilitation clinical cases and promoting the development of geriatric rehabilitation" As the theme, the expert jury will select the outstanding medical cases and make on-site reports to select the winners. Rehabilitation physicians and related professionals from medical institutions across the country are welcome to actively participate in the competition.

(3) Requirements for medical records
1. Specification of medical record description: medical history, specialist examination, auxiliary examination, clinical and functional diagnosis, rehabilitation assessment, rehabilitation treatment plan, rehabilitation treatment traces, etc., which have reference and guiding value for rehabilitation clinic.
2. Scope of diseases: cerebrovascular accident, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedics, elderly, heart and lung diseases, etc.
3. Case requirements: real cases, covering patient history, assessment, clinical diagnosis, functional diagnosis, treatment goals, effect evaluation, etc. The medical record should consist of pictures, videos and PPT related to the implementation of rehabilitation medicine.
4. Precautions: If it contains a video, it can be opened during the PPT projection, and the picture is clear, which meets the requirements for reporting medical records.
(4) Requirements for the text of the medical record
1. The participating medical records need to submit real clinical records, retain the patient's surname, hide the name, and have real clinical data to track and query.
2. The name of the uploaded medical record text should be named according to the format of "doctor's name-hospital name-department". Before 17:00 on July 6, 2024, package and upload the PPT of the medical record and the real medical record information to the [email protected] mailbox. Please indicate the participating unit, department, name (including team leader), contact number, and email address in the medical record.
(5) Scoring and scoring principles
1. The expert judges should be based on the principle of objectivity and fairness, and score according to the evaluation criteria.
2. The on-site competition will be conducted in the form of a medical case report, with a time of 8 minutes and 5 minutes of questions from the judges (report within the specified time, and it will automatically stop when the time comes).
3. The scoring rules of the standardized competition for the writing of rehabilitation specialist medical records are shown in the following table.
(6) Activity requirements
1. Teaming: 1~2 people per team participate, 1 team leader, and each unit is limited to 2 teams.
2. Preliminary evaluation: According to the submitted cases, the judges will pass the PPT preliminary evaluation on July 6 ~ August 8, 2024, and the outstanding cases will be selected to enter the finals.
3. Judges: Composed of expert members from the Geriatric Rehabilitation Professional Committee of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine and major rehabilitation medical institutions across the country.
(7) Awards and certificates
Set up the first prize, the second prize, the third prize and the encouragement award. The number of all winners shall not exceed 30% of the total number of participants.
