Li Jikui, born in 1937, male, from Meizhou, Guangdong. After graduating from the Department of History of Nankai University in 1962, he entered the Northeast Institute of Literature and History, where he studied economics. From 1972 to 1980, he worked at the Institute of Philosophy and Social Sciences of Jilin Province and the Institute of History of Jilin Academy of Social Sciences, where he studied modern Chinese history. In 1981, he was transferred to the Department of History of Sun Yat-sen University. He is the author of "Sun Yat-sen and Japan" and "The Biography of Liang Shiyi", etc., and participated in the compilation of "The Complete Works of Sun Yat-sen", "The Continuation of the Complete Works of Sun Yat-sen", "The Long Compilation of Sun Yat-sen's Annals" (Zhonghua Book Company Edition), and compiled and published "Lin Yichang Diary", "Yishi Class Manuscript", "Yishi Tan Hui", "Modern Notes and Eyes" (Zhonghua Book Company Edition), etc.

"The Beginning and End of the Preparation of Yiwu" is a compilation of foreign relations archives of the Qing government.

Among them, "Preparing for the Beginning and End of Yiwu Daoguang Dynasty" was compiled by Wen Qing and others, with a total of 80 volumes, starting from the ban on opium in the sixteenth year of Daoguang (1836) to the twenty-ninth year (1849). It contains more than 2,700 files and 2.2 million words of edicts, court mails, memorials, and notes on foreign-related matters during this period.

All the important events in the history of Sino-foreign relations are recorded in this book, such as the First Opium War, the Sino-British Treaty of Nanjing, the Sino-French Treaty of Whampoa, and the Sino-American Treaty of Wangxia. Qi Sihe, the son of the famous historian and famous educator Qi Biting. A native of Ningjin County, Shandong. In the 20s of the 20th century, he studied at Nankai University and Yenching University and obtained a bachelor's degree. After returning to China, he taught at Peking Normal University, Tsinghua University, Yenching University, China University, and Peking University. He has a wide range of academic interests, and has made remarkable achievements in the fields of pre-Qin history, modern Chinese history, medieval world history, modern world history, historical theory and historiography.

Shen Zengzhi (1850-1922), the name Zipei, the number Yi'an, the late number Meisuo, the room name Hairi Building. A native of Jiaxing, Zhejiang. Guangxu was a six-year jinshi, and successively served as an envoy to Jiangxi, an envoy to Anhui Province, a political envoy, and a nursing governor. Shen Zengzhi had a high reputation in the academic circles of the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, and was a great master of calligraphy in the late Qing Dynasty.

This collection includes 880 letters from Shen Zengzhi that the organizer has seen in the past 20 years, involving more than 110 characters, arranged in pinyin according to the recipient's surname, and each letter is accompanied by a word, explaining the source of information, writing time, and arranged in order of year, month and day, and the unknown year is ranked last. Some of the modern figures involved in the letters are briefly introduced. In this reprint, there are many corrections and errors.

This book is based on the original or photocopy of Shen Zengzhi's inscription, and if there is no authenticity, it is recorded according to the transcript, typesetting and other documents, and proofread. It is divided into three categories: group book inscriptions, gold and stone inscriptions, and calligraphy and painting inscriptions, with a total of 551 poems and 801 articles, which is 28% higher than the 2016 edition of Zhonghua Book Company's "Five Kinds of Hairilou Bibliography Inscriptions". In addition to the additions, the 2016 edition of the text, punctuation, and proper name line errors were corrected, and the content of the case was improved, making the "Hairilou Inscription Collection" the most complete collation in recent years, which has high academic value.
