The Nomad Awards welcomes all students from Hong Kong, Macao and the Greater Bay Area to participate in the competition, with a view to encouraging cross-border learning and exchanges, allowing students to look to the future and the world! The competition will have prizes worth up to HK$50,000, as well as a variety of prizes such as sponsored study tours, corporate internship opportunities, technology products, and a certificate of completion of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Students aged 9 to 24 are welcome to participate in the competition in the form of individuals, including primary school group, secondary school group, tertiary and open group. Participants are expected to focus on four major industries: "Wellness", "Arts & Culture", "Retail Services", "Tourism & Hospitality", and use new technologies such as programming and artificial intelligence to promote and develop impactful projects that can be applied in various aspects. More than 30 hours of continuous training, such as online quizzes, workshops, community trips, etc., will be arranged for participants to learn about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the real issues facing the community or enterprises today. At the same time, professional and experienced instructors will guide participants to conceive innovative technology solutions, explain what is innovative thinking, programming and artificial intelligence applications, product development and design, and presentation skills training, so as to start thinking and grow with participants.

Secondary School Category: Secondary 1 to 3 (Junior Secondary Group), Secondary 4 to 6 (Senior Secondary Category)

Tertiary and Open Categories: Aged 17 to 24

Contest Flow:

May-June 2024: Nomad 100 Challenge (Online Quiz, Workshop, Community Tour)

4 & 5 May 2024: Briefing session and free gift pack

July-August 2024: Technology training courses and ideation programmes

August 25, 2024: Match day

Mid-September to November 2024: Community practice phase

December 7, 2024: Science and Technology Exhibition and Finals
