From April 12 to 14, 2024, the "2nd Annual Meeting of the Dixin 50 Forum" jointly organized by the Department of Geography of Yunnan Normal University and Yi Zhirui Company was held in Kunming. Adhering to the purpose of non-official, public welfare and academic, the "Dixin 50 Forum" focuses on the discussion and exchange of advanced ideas and innovative achievements of geographic information, contributes wisdom to the development of China's geographic information science, technology, education, industry and culture, and promotes the high-quality development of the national economy and society.
The forum lasted for three days, and through activities such as "Dixin 50 People Lecture Hall", "Dixin 50 People Entering Yunshi University" and "Dixin 50 People Forum High-end Academic Annual Meeting", in-depth and warm interaction and exchanges were carried out from academic, technical and application aspects. He Ning, President of Yi Zhirui Information Technology Co., Ltd., and Yang Kun, second-level professor of Yunnan Normal University, director of the Engineering Research Center of Western Resources, Environment, Geographic Information Technology of the Ministry of Education, and distinguished professor of "Changjiang Scholars", delivered speeches for the academic seminar.

After that, all the expert members of the "Dixin 50 Forum" had an in-depth discussion on "artificial intelligence and GIS". After a day of heated discussions, Wu Zhifeng, dean, professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Geographic Sciences and Remote Sensing, Guangzhou University, made a concluding speech on the discussion, saying that the theme of the conference brought us into what is geospatial intelligence, and geospatial intelligence and geographic artificial intelligence are two concepts. The relationship between AI and GIS is mutual, at this stage, we will use AI as a tool to empower and empower GIS, but with in-depth research and development, the construction of geography is bound to provide unique contributions to AI.
