The reporter recently learned from the District Park Urban Greening Service Center that the park green space along Heshun Road and Wanshun Road in the area will be surrounded and upgraded.
In this transformation, the Wanshun Road Green Belt will be guided by the needs of community residents, and will be upgraded in multiple dimensions such as space slow traffic system, fitness facilities, activity space, urban furniture, and vegetation flower corridors, so as to create a park city demonstration block in an all-round way.
There will be 2 kilometers of new (renovated) greenways, 2 basketball courts, 2 badminton courts, 10 table tennis tables, 1 children's amusement facilities, 5 fitness paths, 1 moon flower gallery, and many rest spaces under the forest.
The site is dotted with characteristic flowers and trees such as palace pink sheep's footnails, begonias, cherry blossoms, and golden-flowered bellwood, and perennial flower ground covers such as Mexican sage and purple petite are planted to enhance the external environment of Wanshun Road and highlight the cultural landscape and community vitality of Shuangliu.
The renovation project is divided into five sections and is expected to be completed in October this year.
The upgrading and renovation of the Heshun Road Green Belt will optimize the slow-moving greenway system, increase the activity venue and waiting space, and add 1 km of greenway, 2 small leisure squares, 1 sports and fitness path, and 1 children's activity facility.
