At 4:50 a.m. on April 17, a serious truck rear-end accident occurred in the direction of Wuhan at the Hurong Expressway at the entrance of Yongjiahe Town, Hong'an County. In the accident, a minivan loaded with coriander collided with a semi-trailer, causing the driver of the van to be trapped in the cab and in critical condition.
After the accident, the Hong'an County Fire Brigade responded quickly and immediately dispatched a fire truck and six firefighters to the scene for emergency treatment. After arriving at the scene, the firefighters found that the cab of the van had been severely deformed and was next to the guardrail, and the full car of coriander was pressed into the cab under the huge impact, and the driver was trapped in it and could not get out of the trap on his own.
Faced with an urgent situation, the firefighters quickly developed a rescue plan. First of all, they first cleaned out the coriander in the carriage to prevent the collapse during the rescue and caused secondary injury to the driver, and then used the on-board traction device to pull out the side of the guardrail of the pickup truck to obtain a larger rescue space. Immediately afterwards, the firefighters used demolition tools to carefully break down the door of the cab and open a life passage for the trapped driver. After 20 minutes of emergency rescue, the trapped driver was finally successfully rescued and immediately sent to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
At present, the specific cause of the accident is still under further investigation.
