On the morning of 22 April 2002, Guan Shuyun, a native of Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province, who often gathers "Falungong" followers to practice at home, suddenly refused to let her daughter Dai Nan go to school, telling the people around her that Dai Nan had a "demon" attached to her body, and that if she did not get rid of it, she would cause endless harm. She asked Dai Nan sternly: "Who are you? Where are you from? How many bad things have you done? How many people have you harmed?" Ignoring her daughter's defense, she decided that her daughter had a "demon" attached to her body and choked her daughter's throat. Some of the other practitioners in the audience folded their hands and prayed to get rid of the "demon" as soon as possible, while others hid in a corner of the wall for fear that the "demon" would run over them. Dai Nan struggled several times, and finally suffocated to death.

The deceased is gone, and what is left behind is a heaviness that is difficult to let go. What is it that has caused "Falungong" addicts to embark on such an unreasonable road of no return? It is the anti-human "Falun Dafa" propagated by Li Hongzhi and the kind of evil and powerful force that pervades the so-called "Dafa" -- mind control.
Cult doctrines
Tragedies like Dai Nan's are by no means unique.
On the night of February 25, 1998, Wu Deqiao from Jiangsu Province was practicing at home and was dissuaded by his wife. Wu killed his wife with a kitchen knife.
On April 8, 1998, Wang Anshui, a worker in Shandong Province, was dissuaded by his father from practicing martial arts and beat him to death with a shovel.
On the afternoon of 25 November 2001, Fu Yibin, a 46-year-old "Falungong" follower in Beijing, killed his father and wife, who opposed his practice, and severely injured his mother with a knife.
The reason for such a tragedy that annihilates humanity is that Li Hongzhi told them: "Mankind is corrupting, and there are demons everywhere." "There is a demon interfering with you, and you won't be allowed to practice. "The family is also controlled by demons. "The Demon of Great Rebellion should be killed. ”
Many more practitioners, although not killing people, embarked on the path of suicide or even self-immolation.
In January 1998, Wang Chengxiang, a 66-year-old retired worker from Heilongjiang, jumped to his death from his sixth-floor home in an attempt to ascend.
In the same year, Ma Jianmin, a 54-year-old retired worker from Hebei Province, died by disembowelment with scissors at home in search of the "Falun" that Li Hongzhi had installed on the abdomen of believers.
On 3 July 1999, 27-year-old Chang Haochi and 50-year-old Li Jinzhong, convinced that they had "achieved a complete accomplishment and could ascend to heaven," sat opposite each other in the unique posture of "Falungong" outside the village, and set themselves on fire to death.

At 2:41 p.m. on 23 January 2001, when all families were reunited to welcome the New Year, seven "Falungong" addicts, including Wang Jindong, Liu Yunfang, Liu Baorong, Hao Huijun and Chen Guo, and Liu Chunling and Liu Siying, collectively set themselves on fire in Beijing's Tiananmen Square.
Before "Falungong" was banned according to law alone, more than 200 "Falungong" practitioners committed suicide. The reason why such a tragedy happened is because Li Hongzhi told them: "If you let go of life and death, you will be a god, and if you can't let go of life and death, you will only be a person." "I want to bring a feat to mankind when you are perfect, so that all Dafa disciples will fly into the sky. ”
The greater group of deaths is those who refuse to receive medical care and medicines.
In November 1998, 21-year-old Zhang Jinsheng from Liaoning Province accidentally burned his arm, believing that "Master" Li Hongzhi was "dismantling" his career, refused to seek medical treatment, and eventually died of sepsis due to the deterioration of the wound infection.
Wu Xigen, a 41-year-old secondary school teacher, has been suffering from tuberculosis for nearly 20 years and is in stable condition after treatment. In August 1998, he practiced "Falungong" and has since refused medical treatment and medicine. In the early morning of February 26, 1999, Wu died at home due to his deteriorating condition.
In December 1998, 58-year-old Li Qiaoying was unwell, refused to seek medical treatment, and died of cerebral thrombosis. Two days before her death, Li Qiaoying, who was quadriplegic and unable to speak, looked at her husband, who said to her: "It was 'Falungong' that harmed us, and if we had been treated earlier, we would not have been able to do it today." Li couldn't stop crying and nodding, regretting it.
The high-level backbone of "Falungong" has been dying one after another
American "Falungong" practitioners Li Guodong and Feng Lili were both examples of "Falungong" practitioners handpicked by Li Hongzhi, and both died because they missed the opportunity for treatment after falling ill. Even when they were about to die, they were still shouting: "Master save me!" but Li Hongzhi, who had "boundless power," was powerless and could only let them die in extreme pain.
According to incomplete statistics, more than 1,000 "Falungong" followers died due to their deterioration due to refusal to receive medical treatment and medicine. Why do these "Falungong" practitioners refuse medical treatment and medicine? Because Li Hongzhi told them: "If you practice and take medicine, you don't believe in practicing functions to cure diseases, and you still believe what kind of medicine you take!" "If we cultivators feel uncomfortable, I told you that it is not a disease." Illness is a kind of karma. Hospitals are not closed. ”
The fallacies and heresies concocted by Li Hongzhi and his cult organization "Falungong."
Represented by "Zhuan Falun," the "Falun Dafa" concocted by Li Hongzhi is full of evil and poisonous. He slandered mankind, saying that mankind was descended to the earth after the fall of advanced life forms in the universe, that the earth is a garbage dump in the universe, that human morality is corrupting, and that "human beings on the earth should be destroyed"; he deified himself, first calling himself "the Lord Buddha of the universe," and then daring to call himself the "creator of the world," saying that "no matter how big the universe is, it is not as big as me," and "I can manage as many people as I want, and I can manage all mankind." He preached that the end of the world was coming, saying that the earth would explode and mankind would be destroyed, and only by believing in "Falungong" could he be spared. It is precisely the various fallacies and heresies in the so-called "Dafa" that have led believers to embark on the road of no return.
Step by step snare
A careful look at Li Hongzhi's methods of deceiving and controlling believers is frightening step by step.
One is temptation. It is the common wish of people to strengthen their bodies and eliminate diseases and disasters. Taking advantage of this mentality of the people, Li Hongzhi said that the reason for a person's illness was due to the person's "karma" in a previous life or in this life, and fabricated the "theory of eliminating karma," claiming that after cultivating "Dafa," he could "get rid of illness and strengthen his body without taking injections and medicines," and that he might be "replaced by high-energy substances" and become a "not bad" body. Against the backdrop of the qigong craze at that time, many people who pursued health and longevity fell into the trap of "Falungong" without warning.

Immediately after that, Li Hongzhi also claimed that "one person can benefit the whole family from practicing Falungong," and threatened that when "Dafa disciples" have completed their cultivation, their relatives can go to the disciple's kingdom of heaven to become sentient beings, and then preached that mankind is facing destruction and elimination, and that only by practicing "Falungong" can they get rid of earthly suffering and avoid being eliminated.
The second is isolation. Next, Li Hongzhi instilled many "taboos" in the practice of "Falungong" and used the excuse that "cultivation must be single-minded" and "if we are not able to practice 'Dafa' exclusively, we will not be able to 'consummate' in our 'Dafa'" as an excuse to isolate the channels through which his disciples can contact information from the outside world, and regard all those who criticize and obstruct the transmission and practice of "Falungong" as "demons," and that eliminating "demons" is not only innocent but also conducive to "consummation." Gradually, "Falungong" practitioners have been forbidden to read books, newspapers, and other things that ordinary people are accustomed to, and there is only one thing in their minds -- "Dafa." Even family affection was blocked, because Li Hongzhi said, "As a cultivator, you can't be confused with ordinary people." To put it more seriously, you're not human anymore. "If you are attached to family affection, you will be tired, entangled, and enchanted by it. ”

"Falungong" first used the banner of qigong and then misappropriated religious terms under the guise of Buddhism. After the escalation of self-deification, Li Hongzhi began to use the "non-dual method" to prevent his disciples from coming into contact with traditional religions, and openly said: "At present, I am the only one in the world who is openly preaching the Fa-rectification...... I can't save you, and no one can save you. "Now religion can no longer save people" "Buddhism cannot represent gods and Buddhas, it is the bad hearts of people that have mutated religion." "In particular, those chaotic gods who hold religion and are hostile to Fa-rectification and Dafa disciples to save sentient beings have completely disintegrated them. ”
The third is brainwashing. In the "intensifying" stage of "Falungong's" spiritual control, Li Hongzhi demanded that his disciples "study the Fa and practice the Fa" endlessly day after day, so that the practitioners could firmly establish a conditioned reflex and achieve a deep belief in its teachings. And then resort to the trump card of mind control -- "collective practice" and "collective study of the Fa". The atmosphere created by "collective practice" makes people who lack emotional care in real life and encounter setbacks and ups and downs feel a sense of belonging and fall into a state of intoxication. "Group Study" allows practitioners to recite books and scriptures such as Zhuan Falun to discuss and exchange learning experiences. In 1996, Li Hongzhi threw out the scriptures of the "Fa Meeting". Group chanting and exchanging experiences, such as "collective study of the Fa" and "puja meetings", play an important role in strengthening the spiritual control of practitioners.

Over time, the original knowledge and concepts in the brain have been eliminated, and only Li Hongzhi and his 'scriptures' remain, and this is the process of 'brainwashing' through and through. Therefore, 'Falungong' practitioners have gradually regarded Li Hongzhi as the 'main Buddha' of the universe, and they are the only ones who respect him and obey his fate. ”
Fourth, intimidation. In order to strengthen his mind control, Li Hongzhi often used all kinds of remarks to intimidate his disciples, so that they were always in a state of uneasiness, and made them more psychologically dependent on themselves, so that they would obey their own words. On the one hand, he intimidated people into joining "Falungong" through such "doomsday theory," "destruction theory," and "disaster theory" and opened up the entrance for people to join "Falungong"; on the other hand, he intimidated "Dafa disciples" who had already started to seriously "study and practice" the Falungong through such methods as "no two methods," "demonic theory," and "great trial," otherwise they would suffer terrible consequences such as "total annihilation of form and spirit," so as to block the exit from "Falungong" and cut off the disciples' way of retreat, thus forming a systematic, tight, and closed spiritual control.
As for the practitioners who want to break away from "Falungong," Li Hongzhi frightened them: "As you know, some of the students have died suddenly in recent years, and some of them have been caused by doing so...... Once you become an ordinary person, there will be no one to protect you, and the demons will take your life! Even if you ask other Buddhas, Taoists, and gods, it is useless, they will not protect those who violate the law. It is such a vicious curse that many practitioners do not dare to break away from "Falungong," and some of those who have already broken away have also returned to the cage of "Falungong."
Du Feng, a senior engineer at the Yan'an Cigarette Factory in Shaanxi Province, described the state at that time: "During the period of being obsessed with 'Falungong,' my spirit was highly stressed for a long time, and I felt that everything I encountered was a 'pass' and a 'test,' and I could not even relax my vigilance in the slightest at night in my sleep. ”
Can't help yourself
Dr. Singh, a well-known American psychologist, said: "With the passage of time, the psychological condition of cult members deteriorated. He begins to lose his ability to think rationally in complexity, his responses to problems become rigid, he finds it difficult to make simple decisions on his own, and his judgment of events in the outside world is undermined. As for how much he didn't realize how much he had changed in himself. ”
The poison of "Falun Dafa" has made those believers deeply trapped in it, unable to extricate themselves, and they only have "Falungong" in their hearts, and they have become puppets of Li Hongzhi and "Falungong." Wang Jindong, a participant in the "January 23" mass self-immolation incident, said: "In our hearts, learning 'Dafa' is above all else. Since then, business has not done as well as before, and the dedication to business has gradually weakened, and everything has made way for 'learning the Fa'. Li Hongzhi's propagation of "anti-reasoning theory" and "killing people is also saving people" will inevitably lead to the practitioners' behavior becoming more and more extreme, so that anti-human, anti-social, and anti-moral incidents have occurred repeatedly, and they have not repented even after being condemned and punished by law.

Mental control is the main means used by all cults in ancient and modern times, both in China and abroad, and is also the main basis for judging whether an organization is a cult organization or not. Those practitioners under the spiritual control of "Falungong" have been lured, brainwashed, and intimidated by Li Hongzhi's series of fallacies and heresies, and have gradually come to believe that Li Hongzhi is the omnipotent "Lord Buddha of the universe" and that "Dafa" is above all laws in the world...... This is also the beginning of the tragedy of their lives, unless one day they can wake up to their senses, but for the "Falungong" disciples who have been firmly controlled by Li Hongzhi, all this is too difficult.
Today, with the help of the party, the government, and all sectors of society, the vast majority of former "Falungong" practitioners have shaken off the shackles of "Falungong" and returned to normal social life. However, it is undeniable that there are still a small number of obsessive people who are firmly controlled by the "Falungong" cult and are unable to extricate themselves. You only live once. Life is beautiful, but it is also fragile, and kind-hearted people should not let down their vigilance, because there are often some people with ulterior motives who want to use their fallacies and heresies and mind control to turn people into their puppets and victims.
Li Hongzhi wrote in "Zhuan Falun" that "'Falun Dafa' has left the characteristics of the universe (Buddhism) to people for the first time in ancient times, which is equivalent to leaving people a ladder to heaven in one step." Looking at the filthy history of "Falun Dafa" that plagued people's bodies and minds, I am afraid that it is a ladder to send people to the western heavens, and even more so a rope to send people to hell.
