On April 16, Yanqi County held a meeting of people's congress deputies to receive suggestions from the masses, and assigned the demands and suggestions reflected by the masses in the people's congress deputies' concentrated reception day activities carried out by the liaison stations of the people's congress deputies in various towns (fields) and villages (communities) in the county, so as to respond to the concerns of the masses in a timely manner, coordinate and solve the hot and difficult problems that the masses are concerned about, effectively safeguard the interests of the masses, and help improve the effectiveness of grassroots governance.
Relevant responsible persons of the Standing Committee of the County People's Congress, chairmen of the township (field) people's congresses or leaders in charge of the work of the people's congresses, and responsible persons of relevant departments directly under the county attended the meeting.
The meeting pointed out that the activities of the deputies' centralized reception of the masses are an important way for deputies to perform their duties in accordance with the law during the intersessional period, an important carrier and way to keep in close contact with the masses and listen to the voices and opinions of the people, and a concrete manifestation of practicing whole-process people's democracy. The 37 representative suggestions assigned this time involve economic development, rural revitalization, improvement of people's livelihood, education and medical care, urban construction and environmental protection, etc., which reflect the wishes and requirements of the people of the county, represent the fundamental interests of the people, reflect the responsibility of the majority of representatives to participate in the county's social undertakings, highlight the trust and expectations of the government and relevant departments, and reflect the common will of the county to accelerate the practice of Chinese-style modernization.
The meeting stressed that all departments and units directly under the county government should attach importance to the problems and suggestions reflected by the deputies and the masses, and should give overall consideration, conduct in-depth investigations, and take comprehensive measures to solve common and universal problems, so that the problems can be reasonably resolved. For personality problems, it is necessary to dig deep into the root of the disease, compact the responsibility, and make precise efforts. At the same time, it is necessary to participate in the "face-to-face meeting of the director representatives" activity organized by the liaison stations of the township people's congress deputies on April 22, and do a good job in explaining policies and replying to suggestions.
