Legendary Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is actively involved in AC Milan's transfer operations as they look to help improve their presence at both ends of the pitch in the coming summer transfer window. AC Milan have made it clear that their priority is to strengthen their defence and attack at any cost in the summer transfer market, and to do so they will devote the majority of their budget to signings.

In midfield, AC Milan are still looking for quality players who may be sold on a free transfer or at a low price because they are not part of their team's future plans, despite having a strong presence this season, but in order to add depth and competitiveness to their squad. Sofyane Amrabat, who currently plays for Manchester United in the Premier League and is owned by Fiorentina, is on the radar of the Rossoneri and will return to Italy in the summer.

Amrabat is an all-round midfielder who has struggled for Manchester United, making just 15 Premier League appearances and failing to score or assist in five Champions League appearances, and his partnership with manager Erik ten Hag has not been a spark. Amrabat is set to return to Fiorentina given that United brought in Amrabat on loan for a whopping €10 million last summer, but a €20 million buy-out clause is not expected to be enforced.

AC Milan are keeping a close eye on Amrabat and believe his characteristics match the team's need for midfield reinforcements, with the possibility of a dialogue with Fiorentina president Colmiso in the summer. Ibrahimovic is ready to go out on his own and offer an attractive transfer package in the hope of convincing Fiorentina to release Amrabat, with the transfer fee expected to be reduced given that Amrabat's current contract expires in 2025 and his experience at Manchester United.

However, AC Milan are not Amrabat's only chases, with Serie A giants Juventus also on the lookout for new midfield signings and are interested in the 27-year-old Algerian international. In addition, Napoli and Inter Milan are also under pressure to change their midfield and are likely to join the fray. With the summer transfer market approaching, Amrabat's whereabouts will undoubtedly be one of the focus of attention for major clubs.
