The new Budapest office of US fintech giant ION aims to create an amazing and efficient spatial experience that supports collaboration and individual focus. At the same time, it introduces the cultural genes and environmental protection concepts from the United States.

US-based fintech giant ION has officially opened its new office in Budapest on the first floor of Millennium Garden, which won the "Office of the Year" award. The office design inspired by "Finance, Technology and American Flair" was brought to life by MadiLancos Studio.

Create stunning spatial experiences
The client's vision was to realize a new workplace where they could work efficiently and help them optimize their performance through an inspiring and inspiring innovation environment, while providing visitors with an "amazing" space experience and supporting collaboration and individual focus.
ION is a fintech company that is thriving globally and in Hungary, so it wanted the Hungarian office to be a creative office that would match its growth, where efficient workspaces would complement refreshing design solutions.
The concept of "going green" is in the company's DNA, and even the design of Dealogic, which was acquired by ION, has twice won the Office of the Year award. The office will be the headquarters of ION Analytics and Lab49 in Hungary (the Budapest headquarters is mainly used for software development and R&D), so creating an inspiring and productive workspace was the main theme of the project.

Shaped by American style
The interior spaces, planned by the design team of Mádi Láncos Studio, are imbued with an authentic American touch in every detail. Shadows from Central Park can be seen in many areas, such as the reception area and the working coffee bar—elements such as houseboats, candlesticks, street lamps, and rocks—the "Manhattan theme" is also an allusion to New York, home to its U.S. parent company, and "Mars" is another feature of the office design: in this unique community space, you certainly don't have to worry about things like "coffee, water, and floaters" being part of an alternative weightlessness experience.
In the reception area, granite stones, candelabra lamps, a Central Park rose garden and pergola, and classic American signage welcome everyone – not just to the office, but to an atmosphere with American DNA. The design of the public spaces is inspired by Central Park and its famous paddling lake: the carousel in New York Park, the buoys on the paddling lake, and the canal decorations hanging from the ceiling all create a relaxed, cheerful atmosphere.

Mars concept
There's life on Mars! Even if Mars is now referring to the ION Coffee Bar upstairs. This public space and café bar offer a great view of the Danube, making it the perfect place to relax or have a quick meeting. The red rings are reminiscent of the "orbit of Mars", while the swing chairs create a floating feeling. Dazzling colors from Mars shine on extraordinary sofas and rugs, and the coolest part is that this alternative space also offers unlimited coffee and drinking water for employees!

Meeting rooms with their own unique features
The fintech world shimmers with exciting contrasts in the office space. The meeting room reflects the age-old tradition of the traditional financial world, while the technological elements, the elements of the digital and technological world, bring an innovative and forward-thinking approach. The games room features a "MineCraft" strategy game with foosball and billiards, while the open office space incorporates a range of flexible work elements – phone booths, conference tables with built-in monitors, acoustic whiteboards and flexible furniture – to ensure a productive work environment.
In addition, the office is equipped with a touch-free coffee machine and charging stations. Iconic elements from Wall Street, such as bears and cows, evoke the rigor of traditional American negotiators, and are reinforced by elegant armchairs, dark tones, and gilded frames for writing whiteboards.
Unique design graphics divide the space and understate the theme: in this office, you can even work in the quiet "cigar room", complete with an electric fireplace that evokes warmth and intimacy. In the heart of the executive office, you'll also find a real design gimmick: at the end of a busy day's work, this everyday hard table can be transformed into a relaxed poker table with a simple action!
You don't have to worry about safety in this fun room: classic vault graphics unfold along the walls, and metallic twisted lids are set against inlaid whiteboards.
With columnar motifs, distinctive company logos and minimalist office chairs on wallpaper, reminiscent of the iconic metal support structure of the New York Stock Exchange building, this VIP meeting room is not open to everyone and can only be accessed with a badge.
To support the needs of frequent seminars and in-house training, the design team designed a special auditorium with movable partition walls to optimize the efficient use of space. The wall whiteboard can be used for writing or projection, and the unique blue painted metal mesh structure can be changed freely.
In addition, according to the client's global design specifications, other meeting room design evolutions are derived from their standardized meeting room design specifications, so as to ensure the consistency and consistency of the global design.
In the collaborative workspace, the graphic texture on the walls and cabinets is set off by "purple-green-yellow" gradient LED lighting, presenting a sense of technological atmosphere that is in line with the company's attributes.
