Recently, the Public Security Bureau of Huaibin County, Xinyang City, Henan Province successfully cracked a major case of selling fake and shoddy soybean seeds, arrested 2 criminal suspects, effectively purified the order of the agricultural materials market, and fully escorted spring production.
On the morning of April 8, representatives of large grain growers in the four townships of Huaibin County sent 12 bright red pennants to the Huaibin County Public Security Bureau to express their heartfelt thanks to the police handling the case.
In June 2023, the national bean series "Dongnong No. 76" and "Dongnong No. 7" soybeans planted by Zhang, Gao, Liu, Zheng and other large grain growers in Gucheng, Luji, Sankongqiao, Xinli and other townships in the county were almost unharvested due to seed problems in the later stage, with a loss of about 400 yuan.
On March 7, 2024, the Huaibin County Public Security Bureau received clues about a fake seed case handed over by the County Agriculture and Rural Bureau. Because the value of the case is significant, it is related to the safety of national grain production. After receiving the clues, the Huaibin County Public Security Bureau immediately set up a special team to investigate and sort out the clues involved in the case, visit and investigate the victim growers, implement the source of the seeds and the problems and losses in the planting process, and track the line according to the seed information provided by the victim growers, and at the same time, with the cooperation of the county agriculture and rural departments, the actual soybean damage area and the actual harvest were measured and valued, and a third party was entrusted to identify the unplanted soybean seeds.
After identification, the seeds of the national bean series "Dongnong No. 76" and "Dongnong No. 7" planted by more than 20 large planters in these four townships are fake seeds.
Soon, the police grasped that the suspect in the case, Wang Moumou, and Guo Moumou, a subsidiary of Beijing, knew that they were fake and shoddy seeds, in order to obtain greater benefits, they still publicized to growers that the soybean seeds of the national bean series have good growth, high yield, plants can grow to 1.5 meters high, and the yield per mu can reach 600-800 catties, and promoted the planting of soybean seeds of the national bean series in Huaibin about 2,100 acres.
In order to arrest the suspect as soon as possible and recover the losses of the growers, the police of the special case group successively traveled to Xinyang, Zhengzhou, Beijing and other places to arrest the suspects Wang Moumou and Guo Moumou.
