Wang Jiaqiong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the school, Yu Zujun, President of the school, Zhao Peng, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of the school, Jing Tao, Vice President, Lan Xiaoxia, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Minister of Propaganda and Minister of United Front Work of the school, Zhao Lan, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Minister of the Organization Department, and Yao Nianlong, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and director of the School Office, attended the inaugural meeting. The conference was presided over by Zhao Peng.
Yu Zujun congratulated the two colleges on behalf of the school. He pointed out that the establishment of the two colleges is a major national strategic need for the university to serve the construction of a strong transportation country and the self-reliance and self-improvement of a new generation of information technology, accelerate the promotion of a new round of "double first-class" construction, in-depth implementation of the "five-in-one" first-class discipline construction system reform of disciplines, platforms, majors, institutions and responsible persons, strengthen the construction of grassroots academic organizations, and optimize the layout of disciplines.
Cao Yu, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Electrical Engineering of China State Railway Group Co., Ltd., and Liu Dawei, Director of Network Security of the Ministry of Science and Information Technology, congratulated the establishment of the Institute of Automation and Intelligence.
Zhao Lan read out the decision of the team members of the School of Automation and Intelligence and the School of Electronic Information Engineering.
Wen Yinghong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Automation and Intelligence, Cai Bogen, Dean of the School of Automation and Intelligence, Liu Dongping, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Electronic and Information Engineering, and Ai Bo, Dean of the School of Electronic and Information Engineering, respectively expressed their position on behalf of the college team, and the college will thoroughly implement the spirit of the 12th Party Congress of the school, implement the goals and tasks of the "14th Five-Year Plan", build first-class disciplines, and make greater contributions to the construction of a world-class university with distinctive characteristics.
