Qilu.com Lightning News, April 16 - At about 11:30 local time in Greece on the 16th, and at about 16:30 Beijing time today, the flame lighting ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games was held at the ancient Olympia site in Greece, the birthplace of the Olympic movement.
The Temple of Hera was built in the 7th century BC and is the oldest of the ancient Olympian ruins. During the ceremony, the High Priestess, played by a Greek actress, successfully collected the flame of the Paris Olympics here with a concave mirror.
The flame was then escorted back to the arena, where the first Olympic torch was lit and the 11-day relay was carried across Greece.
It is understood that the Olympic flame will be transferred to the Paris Olympic Organizing Committee on April 26.
On April 27, the Olympic flame left Greece aboard the three-masted ship B. Braun and arrived in Marseille, France, on May 8.
