From May 1st to 31st, more than 30 plays and more than 100 performances invited the audience into the theater to go to the 10th year of the "Spring Appointment". Among them, during the May Day holiday, a number of high-quality dramas and original premieres in the performance season will be the first to appear, bringing together dance dramas, dramas, children's dramas, puppet shows and other art categories, kicking off the prelude to Beijing's May performance market.
With the theme of the national treasure "Five Stars Out of the East to Benefit China", the treasure dance drama "Five Stars Out of the East", which won the "Five One Project" award and "Wenhua Award", will be staged again, and will be performed three times in Beijing Poly Theater from May 3 to 5 to start a new round of national tour. The word-of-mouth guarantee of nearly 100 performances of the repertoire, the "Splendid", "Ancient Call", "Bazaar Rhapsody" and other out-of-the-circle dance segments, as well as the traditional cultural elements that can be seen everywhere in the details, will once again bring a visual feast to the audience and feel the national style aesthetics of "Hualiu is the top stream". The play will also be staged at the Tianjin Grand Theatre from May 30 to 31.
Adapted from the famous picture book writer Tatsuya Miyanishi's picture book of the same name, the longevity ace children's drama "You Look Like You Look Delicious", which has been performed for more than 1,200 performances for 16 consecutive years, is produced and performed by the Beijing Children's Art Theater, a subsidiary of Beijing Performing Arts Group, and will be performed at the Grand Theater of the National Cultural Palace from May 1 to 2. This children's drama with a barley score of 9.0 was on the stage of CCTV Children's Spring Festival Gala in 2012, and has brought love and touch to countless parent-child families in the past 16 years. Subverting the stereotypical and cold image of dinosaurs, in the name of "love", it takes the audience into the fairy tale world in the Cretaceous.
The large-scale documentary epic puppet drama "The Elephant is Coming" launched by the China Puppet Art Theater under Beijing Performing Arts Group is based on the hot news event of "Asian elephants in Yunnan Province moving north and returning to the south" as the creative background, and will be staged at the Kaku Theater of China Puppet Theater on May 5. The unique documentary presentation technique and the shocking 1:1 giant elephant vividly depict the interesting and touching story of the "short-nosed family" composed of 15 elephants in Xishuangbanna Nature Reserve during their migration. The repertoire has appeared on the CCTV stage three times - "Spring Festival Gala in the Year of the Tiger", "Avenue of Stars" and "Poetry and Painting China", which will take the audience into a "grand journey" of elephant migration.
In addition, Beijing Children's Art's new drama "Gui Street" will premiere at the Nanluo Theater from May 3 to 5. The play is based on Beijing's famous Internet celebrity nightlife check-in place "Gui Street" as the creative background, spanning 18 years of cross-narrative presentation techniques, and four moving stories collectively created by the main creative team based on the real experience of the main creative team: indigenous and northern drift, marriage and love, lover and brother, dream and reality...... The audience can find themselves and find themselves in the real profiles of ordinary life in the play, and once again draw strength from the simple and ordinary warmth.
The immersive opera "Memories of the South City - "Old Door God" by the Beijing Quyi Troupe, a subsidiary of Beijing Performing Arts Group, will be sung from May 3rd to 5th in the Pigment Hall in Beijing's Hutongs. The story takes the gatekeeper of the guild hall "Lao Door God" as the starting point, and the 8 characters with distinct personalities show 9 kinds of music forms such as Niu Gu Shu Lai Bao, Layang Piece, Single String, Big Drum, Cross Talk, Allegro, etc., and "resurrect" the fireworks of the old Beijing South City for the audience through the performance of Beijing flavor, and the antique architecture of the guild hall interacts with the performance close at hand, which will bring the audience an immersive and unique viewing experience.
