According to blogger project_vice, as of April 15, 2024, all R-Star employees have been asked to return to the company's office as they enter the final stages of development of GTA 6.
Jenn Kolbe, head of publishing at R-Star, has said that the company made the decision because of productivity and security concerns. He also said that having employees return to work in person would bring "real benefits" to launching the next game in the GTA franchise with enough quality and polish and a release roadmap to match the game's scale and ambition.
