Among them, extreme precipitation may occur during the Meixun season, and some areas will have serious rain and waterlogging; there will be periodic high temperature and heat waves in midsummer, and the degree of meteorological drought will be slightly heavier than usual, and there may be drought; the impact of typhoons will be close to the normal year, and there may be 1-2 typhoons that will have a more obvious impact on our city; and severe convective weather will be more frequent.
Weather forecasts for important periods
Extreme precipitation events may occur during the plum flood season (May to July). At present, the El Niño event has entered a period of decay, and it is expected to end in April-May this year, and may enter a La Niña state in the second half of the year. Based on the analysis of the effects of El Niño events and global warming, it is estimated that the main continental rain belt is located in the Yangtze River basin during the flood season, and the north-south swing of the rain belt is obvious.
The precipitation in the city during the plum flood season this year is 640 mm to 740 mm, which is close to the average (738.9 mm) or slightly less. The time of entering the plum season is close to the normal year (June 8), the time of the plum season is close to the normal year (July 8) or early, and the precipitation during the plum rainy period is close to the normal year or is less, but there is an obvious precipitation concentration period, and there may be extreme precipitation, and there are more serious rains and waterloggings in some areas.

This year, there are fewer typhoons in the Northwest Pacific and the South China Sea, and the typhoons affecting our province are close to the normal year (an average of 3.4 per year), and the probability of typhoons going north along the coast is larger, and there may be 1-2 typhoons that have a more obvious impact on our city, and the impact of typhoons is heavier than last year.
Severe convective weather is more frequent during the flood season. During the flood season, the temperature fluctuates greatly, and strong convective weather such as short-term heavy precipitation, thunderstorms, strong winds and hail is prone to occur.
