The weather in the south will usher in a fierce period again. From the night of today (15th) to the 17th, a new round of heavy rainfall in the south is about to appear, the rainfall process has the characteristics of a wide range of rainfall, scattered heavy rainfall, and strong local rain, and the precipitation will be dominated by convective rainfall, and there will be obvious strong convective weather processes in Jianghan and the eastern part of the southwest region.
This process is a mixed type of severe convective weather with hail and short-term heavy precipitation, which is characterized by multiple sporadic occurrences, multiple points and wide areas, and large intensity. The main rainfall periods were this night and from the night of the 16th to the day of the 17th.

Heavy rainfall in Hunan and Jiangxi was hit again
Hunan, central and northern Jiangxi and other places will become heavy rainfall concentration areas: from the cumulative rainfall point of view, the precipitation process will generally have a total of 30~60 mm, Hunan, Jiangxi, central and northern Jiangxi and other parts of 80~100 mm, local 120~200 mm.
Tomorrow, the heavy rainfall area will move eastward, and there will be heavy to heavy rain (100~120 mm) in parts of southern Hubei, eastern and southwestern Hunan, central and northern Jiangxi, northwest Fujian, southwestern Zhejiang and southeastern Guizhou, northeast Guangxi, and northern Chongqing.
On the 17th, there were still heavy to heavy rains in parts of southern Hunan, northern Jiangxi, western Zhejiang, southern Guizhou, northern Guangxi, and central Sichuan.
Strong convection! Hail + short-term heavy precipitation occur at the same time
This round of precipitation is mainly convective rainfall, vigilance against strong convective disasters: this process is a mixed type of strong convective weather with hail and short-term heavy precipitation, showing the characteristics of multiple sporadic and strong intensity, it is expected that Hunan, Jiangxi, Hubei, central and southern Zhejiang, central and northern Fujian and the eastern and southern parts of the Sichuan Basin, Guizhou, Chongqing and other places have the maximum hourly rainfall of 30~50 mm, and the local can reach more than 60 mm; some of the above areas will also appear 8~10, local 11 or more thunderstorms or hail.
Be wary of the narrow tube effect that can lead to high winds
Wind strength of 8 or higher is more dangerous to travel, especially in the narrow area between high-rise buildings in the city, the "narrow pipe effect" may make the wind force between high-rise buildings reach 10 or even stronger. Remind everyone to be extra careful, pay attention to close doors and windows at home, fix temporary structures, and stay away from doors and windows;
Heavy rainfall areas overlap and be alert to heavy rainfall
In addition, there are many strong convective weather in Jiangnan, Jianghan and the eastern part of southwest China, which are highly catastrophic, so it is recommended to prevent thunderstorms, strong winds, hail and other safety threats to traffic, outdoor activities, temporary structures, simple buildings, etc.
Looking ahead, it is expected that the south will experience three rounds of rainfall in the next 10 days (15-17, 18-20, 21-23). Among them, from the 18th to the 20th, there were moderate to heavy rains in Jianghan, Jianghuai, Jiangnan, South China, Sichuan Basin, Guizhou and other places, with local heavy rain or heavy rain, and some areas were accompanied by strong convective weather.
