Huang Deqian, a master of painting
I am very pleased to learn that the works of the famous painter Mr. Huang Deqian will be exhibited at the National Art Museum of China in Beijing. This is the pride of Huang Weng and the pride of Shuyang people, and it is also a great comfort if Huang Weng knows about it in the spirit of heaven. I looked up his work from 40 years ago, and the nostalgia came to me, and the scenes of my association with him came to my eyes.
The first time I knew Huang Lao was in the 60s, when there was a personal studio on the street in the city, opposite the former Shucheng Town People's Government. A young man devotes himself to the portrait and makes a living out of it. At that time, I was a little interested in art, and I would often go over to watch him paint, and after a long time, he and I became familiar with each other.
The young painter's name is Huang Deqian, and I often gag with him because of the polyphonic character "Qian" in his name, jokingly saying, should it be called "Huang Deqian" or "Huang Degan"?
I didn't see him for a long time, and the original studio was empty, and even the neighbors didn't know where he was.
As everyone knows, this walk is more than ten years, this unknown ordinary young man, relying on diligence and studiousness, finally became a famous Chinese painter.
It wasn't until the early 80s that I met Mr. Huang Deqian, who had not been seen for a long time. He has changed his name to "Deqian", and now he has entered the age of not being confused, and he is a full-time painter in the county cultural center.
I asked him where he had been all these years? He told me that he had visited famous mountains and rivers and worked at the construction site of the Great Southwest Railway Bridge in the motherland. No wonder I haven't seen him all these years.
I looked at one of the paintings he was working on on the table and was amazed. The picture is full of clouds and mist, the mountains are undulating, the waterfalls are falling, and a majestic landscape painting jumps on the paper. Mr. Huang's works are perfect, like a masterpiece of everyone.
Unexpectedly, the past ten years have made people look at him impressively. He is no longer a young man who made a living by painting portraits, but changed to Chinese painting, and is quite famous in the art world. Going out to read the famous mountains and rivers of the motherland, expanding his horizons, and realizing the creative inspiration of the beautiful scenery of the mountains and rivers made him accumulate a lot of creative experience in the process of painting, and it also became an opportunity for him to improve his creative level. Now he speaks with his work, just like the name he has changed, and the potential is limitless.
I asked Mr. Huang for paintings, and he gave me a few works that had been painted for a short time, and the inscriptions were stamped. The style is very different from what it is now.
Mr. Huang first studied Qi Baishi's works, from which he absorbed the essence of Chinese painting, and his works are characterized by exaggerated shapes, concise brushwork, and interesting ink freehand. Mr. Huang later changed to Qian Songzhe and Huang Yongyu, boldly splashed ink, and rendered the famous landscapes in thick ink and color, and the picture was white and beautiful, showing quite an atmosphere.
A few years ago, I went to the city to participate in a cultural event, and it happened that the "Huang Deqian Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition" was also opened at the Municipal Culture and Art Center.
The exhibition hall of more than 200 square meters exhibits more than 100 works created by Mr. Huang in recent years. Mr. Nai's creation of a considerable personality in the development of Chinese painting makes the audience cry out for strange paintings!
Huang Lao said, the theory of calligraphy and painting, the Tao is natural, the old man has 100,000 mountains in his heart, and the inner camp hills and ravines are like alchemy. There is nothing more than calligraphy. There is a way to calligraphy, and there is also a way to paint. The old man paints like a book.
Mr. Fan Yang, a famous painter, commented on Mr. Deqian's landscape paintings: "The brush and ink are thick, the attitude is indulgent, the dots and lines are fine, and the connoisseurs say that the ink and wash are Taiji." Praise his works are hidden needles, the internal force is endless, you can read carefully, and you can get a long time!"
