According to Thai media news, on April 14, former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra returned to his hometown of Chiang Mai and went to Doi Suthep on the same day, aiming to worship the Buddha and pray for blessings on the occasion of Songkran.
During this period, Thaksin passed by a stall selling lottery tickets, and after asking about the price, Thaksin decided to support the vendor and bought a total of 140 tickets from seven stalls at a price of 20 baht per ticket. After buying them, Thaksin distributed the lottery tickets to the people who came to worship the Buddha and pray for blessings, and quipped: "Don't forget each other."
After that, Thaksin officially went to worship the Buddha and pray according to the tradition. In addition, Thaksin Shinawatra also said that he intends to allow Yingluck Shinawatra to return to China this year and return to her hometown Chiang Mai for reunion during Songkran next year, because the case she is carrying is not complicated, and there is only one case left, which he believes can be clarified and explained to the society.
When asked by reporters if it would be in October, Thaksin said he did not know yet, but had such an idea.
