In the busy season of spring ploughing, in an office building in Haidian District, Beijing, a group of young people started a busy "digital spring ploughing" in front of the computer.
These young people, who are busy with spring plowing and production, come from the Beijing Agricultural and Rural Informatization Demonstration Base.
The roots of the tree are multi-dimensional big data, collected and summarized by remote sensing satellites, meteorology, the Internet of Things, etc., the trunk is the skeleton, and the team models and analyzes the data of the base, and the canopy is a scientific and technological achievement, analyzing the growth of crops and giving early warning of disasters. Finally, through the construction of the modeling engineer, a piece of digital farmland appears on the screen.
Following the footprints of these young people's agricultural digital application services, we have come to the Jiangsu Hai'an High-standard Farmland Demonstration Zone.
We saw at the scene that the farm is equipped with 68 sets of IoT devices, and the agricultural data monitored and collected by these devices will be transmitted to the digital spring ploughing team in Beijing as soon as possible, and they will guide the local grain growers to fertilize, spray and irrigate in a timely manner after rapid data analysis.
Liu Lin, a "post-90s" guy, is the owner of this "digital field" and a "second generation farmer". He told us that with the empowerment of digital technology, he can now easily manage the 2,000 acres of land on the farm alone.
Nowadays, in Hai'an, Jiangsu, there are more and more "second generation farmers" like Liu Lin, who are starting from the existing 47 digital farm planting experience, radiating and driving more than 800 farms in the city to go digital, and promoting the gradual upgrading of "digital fields" to "digital farm groups".
