Our aircraft carrier's small AWACS aircraft sea plate is in continuous test flights. It can take on the responsibility of aircraft carrier air defense.
"Sea plate" may be a colloquial or unofficial name for our carrier-based AWACS aircraft.
Carrier-based AWACS aircraft is an important stage in test flights. The purpose of the test flight is to evaluate and verify the following:
1. Performance and function: Check whether the performance of the aircraft meets the design requirements, including flight performance, detection capability, etc.
2. Reliability: Determine the reliability and stability of the aircraft.
3. Compatibility: Test the compatibility with the aircraft carrier system, including take-off and landing, catapult take-off, landing and other operations.
4. Combat Capability: Evaluates performance in a real-world combat environment.
Test flights are essential to ensure the safety, effectiveness and adaptability of carrier-based AWACS aircraft. Through test flights, possible problems can be found and solved, and necessary improvements and optimizations can be made.
Carrier-based AWACS aircraft is of great importance for aircraft carrier formations, which provide the following key capabilities:
1. Early warning: Able to detect and track distant targets and provide early warning.
2. Command and Control: Coordinate the combat operations of other carrier-based aircraft.
3. Situational Awareness: Enhance the overall situational awareness of the formation.
With the development and application of carrier-based early warning aircraft, the combat capability of aircraft carrier formations will be further enhanced. The development of China's carrier-based AWACS aircraft has gone through a process from scratch. Since early warning aircraft are of great significance to aircraft carriers, China began to consider the issue of carrier-based early warning aircraft after the aircraft carrier project was launched. At first, China was blank in the field of carrier-based fixed-wing early warning aircraft, so it chose early warning helicopters, and successively installed carrier-based early warning helicopters such as Ka-31 and Z-18 to act as the "clairvoyant" and "tailwind ear" of the aircraft carrier ship formation.
Since then, China has independently developed the Air Police-600 carrier-based early warning aircraft. The AWACS aircraft has an impressive take-off weight and maximum flight speed of up to 25 tons and a maximum flight speed of up to 800 km / h. It is also equipped with the most advanced active phased array digital array radar in China, with an effective detection range of more than 500 kilometers. The Air Police-600 early warning aircraft also has a powerful guidance capability, which can guide its own carrier-based fighters and air defense destroyers to prepare for take-off, interception, and long-range air defense missile power-on launch in advance.
