author:Chengdu High-tech

Simple booths made of wood, "canopies" made of cotton, eye-catching slogans made of red signs, and a group of "red vests". This is an old friend of the residents of Ziwei Community, Fangcao Street, Chengdu High-tech Zone-"Dandelion Caravan".

The community "caravan" is coming

Every Saturday, the "Dandelion Caravan" will "drive" to the Ziwei Community Yew Road Pedestrian Street to provide residents with free convenience services. Sometimes, "caravans" also drive into community courtyards to provide door-to-door services for the elderly.

Most of the volunteers of the "Caravan" are caring businesses in the jurisdiction. Sharpening, cutting, sewing...... They used their housekeeping skills in exchange for sincere gratitude and smiles.

Every Saturday at 9 o'clock on time "online"

"Just-needed services" such as sharpening and sewing are in short supply

"Knowing that the 'caravan' was coming today, I came to the pedestrian street early and waited. Sharpen a knife, cut your hair, mend your clothes, and get free services at your doorstep, which is really a great thing for the convenience and benefit of the people. Grandma Feng, a resident who lives nearby, is a "fan" of the caravan. In addition to seeking convenient services, when the volunteers were empty, she went to chat, and when the other party was busy, she sat quietly on the sidelines, watching everyone get together to talk about the family, and this lively scene always made her feel less lonely.

The community "caravan" is coming

It is understood that every Saturday at 9 a.m., the "Dandelion Caravan" will appear on time on Yew Road Pedestrian Street, providing more than 10 convenient services such as blood pressure measurement, policy publicity, knife sharpening, and sewing. Most of the volunteers are from businesses in the jurisdiction.

The community "caravan" is coming

There are many types of "caravan" services, and the most popular ones are knife sharpening, haircuts, sewing, and shoe repair. Because there is so much demand, the volunteers at these stalls often "work overtime", but everyone said that they would "volunteer to serve the last resident." ”

In addition to the "caravan", the volunteers' service extends to more time and more places. One of the volunteers, Dr. Yin, is a young doctor who has a very good reputation among the residents and will come to the site to provide free medical services almost every time. This volunteer, who is enthusiastic about public welfare, will also teach residents Tai Chi for free at a fixed time every Thursday to explain health knowledge. For example, in response to the legal claims raised by residents, there will also be public interest lawyers who come to the community to provide free legal advice.

The "caravan" is small but functional

It has become a communication platform between the masses and the community

The "Dandelion Caravan" has been "driving" for four years, and the number of people serving has exceeded 10,000.

It is understood that at first, the "caravan" was a normalized weekend extended service in the residential area, and opened the "zero distance" hospital office mode to serve the masses, mainly to allow the elderly and disabled people with limited mobility to have a more convenient and efficient way to do things, and also to provide weekend convenience for office workers in the jurisdiction.

Later, after collecting the specific demands of residents in the jurisdiction, the community integrated more than 30 caring businesses in the jurisdiction, and brought together the volunteer team of "Wei Role Model" by issuing the "Civilized Convening Order", so that there was a richer and more diverse service content.

The community "caravan" is coming

As deeper connections are established with the residents, the "caravans" are also doing more things.

"In addition to convenient services, the masses are most concerned about where they have something to say and where they are willing to go. In the previous activities, the crape myrtle community also invited community grid members and micro-grid members to participate together, using the characteristics of the "caravan" mobile service to achieve "where there are difficulties, the work will be carried out, and the tentacles of solving problems will be extended".

"I hope that there can be more garbage cans in our courtyard", "I hope that the staircase of our building can be repaired and improved......" The residents put forward their opinions and suggestions. On the same day, the "caravan" collected more than 20 livelihood issues and established a list of 10 key service projects, "truly becoming a communication platform between the masses and the community".

In February this year, the caravan also made a special trip to the old courtyard in the jurisdiction to provide door-to-door haircut services for people with reduced mobility. "Even if we don't cut our hair, many elderly people will come downstairs and chat with us when they see the 'caravan'. "This makes the community staff feel that the residents trust the community and truly treat them as relatives and friends.

The community "caravan" is coming

With the addition of more and more caring businesses, the existing "caravan" can no longer meet the needs. It is understood that the crape myrtle community will continue to customize a number of "caravans" and mobilize residents to design them by themselves. These "caravans" will form a fixed service point on Yew Road Pedestrian Street, so that more residents and businesses who are willing to devote themselves to public welfare can join in.
