In the current market boom of "every green must be hot", green watches can be said to emerge in an endless stream, everywhere, many players think that the market has reached the saturation of green watches? However, with the introduction of "imperial green" and "dark green" and other colors into the watch design in recent years, we found that the original green watches are also graded.

Different grades of green watches give people completely different feelings. Although there are many green watches on the market, compared to those cookie-cutter designs, Vacheron Constantin has always had a unique aesthetic taste in terms of tonal aesthetics, which can be traced back to the early 19th century, and the color combination of the watches has been quite prominent since then. In 2021, the brand brought a "Imperial Green" Legacy Series Tourbillon Watch, which uses the ancient Chinese saying "a gentleman is like jade", a warm and humble jade green, showing a majestic and atmospheric royal demeanor, with excellent appearance and bearing, and extremely elegant tones. At that time, as soon as the watch was announced, it attracted the love of many players, but its price was "990,000", which only required one trick to discourage the vast majority of watchmen. It wasn't until the second half of last year that Vacheron Constantin unveiled two hand-wound watches in chic hues, with a dark green painted dial that rivals the "Imperial Green" when viewed closely.
As can be seen from the above, there are traces of the dark green plate used across the world today, but it needs to be distinguished from the common classic color palette. If in the past, the blue, black and silver white Vertical and White Steel King (a common men's watch) was more suitable for the general public, now the dark green dial with the precious metal case has raised the price to another level, and even the aesthetic taste and even the audience of the watch are different from the past.
There are four new creations in the collection: the 35 mm diamond-set date, the 41 mm date, the 42.5 mm chronograph and the 41 mm GMT, all of which share the same dial finish.

The color of the dial of the new product seems to be the same as that of "imperial green", but in fact, a closer look reveals that the dark green dial is more understated and restrained. The central area of the dial is brushed with sunburst satin, the bezel has a delicate velvety texture, and the gold indexes and hands are coated with Super-LumiNova®, which contrasts with the deep tones of the dial and creates a noble and refined green and gold atmosphere, with a warm metallic halo that complements the overall noble and elegant atmosphere.

Like the other models in the collection, the four new models are fitted with three quick-change bracelets/straps, including a pink gold bracelet with a folding clasp, and two dark green straps in calfskin and rubber, with quick-change pin buckles.

In terms of movements, all four models are equipped with the same configuration as their predecessors, all with self-winding in-house movements and exclusive oscillating weights from the 22-carat gold OVERSEAS collection. It is worth noting that while these movements are undoubtedly of exceptional quality, with the exception of the 1088/1 on the 35 mm diamond-set date, which can be distinguished by the Poinçon de Genève.
A rare "titanium" tourbillon

In addition to the "dark green" new products, Vacheron Constantin also brought a higher-level Overseas series tourbillon watch, using titanium material that is rare in high-luxury big-name watchmaking, and this new work is also an all-titanium watch, from the case, crown, bezel to bracelet, the new work is made of titanium throughout, tourbillon + full titanium, the new watch provides more choices for the audience in terms of material and function.
Titanium is 30% harder than stainless steel, but weighs only half the volume of steel, giving it an advantage in sports watches. Vacheron Constantin introduced the material to the design of the Global Collection in 2009, and in 2022 it introduced the brand's first all-titanium model, the Overseas Skeleton Tourbillon, which this year inherits the design DNA of this model.

Unlike its predecessor, the tourbillon mechanism features the collection's signature blue-toned dial, while the velvety double-layered minute ring stands out on the sunburst brushed lacquered dial. The Maltese cross-shaped bezel that surrounds the dial is satin-brushed in a ring, while the outer ring of the bezel is sandblasted for a matte finish. In addition, the caseback and bracelet are decorated with a delicate vertical satin-brushed finish, and the links are chamfered and polished.
The tourbillon mechanism is clearly visible at 6 o'clock on the dial, and the small seconds hand is also on the Maltese cross-shaped tourbillon cage, indicated by coloured screws.
Thanks to its ultra-thin movement, the new Overseas Tourbillon is just over 10 mm thick
Equipped with the 2160 automatic movement, the watch is only 5.65 mm thick while housing a tourbillon mechanism. Equipped with a 22-carat gold rim rotor with a frequency of 18,000 vibrations, the movement provides the barrel with an impressive power reserve of 80 hours. Through the caseback, we can see the fine decorative polishing details, the main plate with circular graining, the bridges decorated with Cève Côtes de Genève and hand-chamfered. The surface of the tourbillon bridge is decorated with a delicate grain, which is extremely ornamental.
