When I was a teenager, I studied partially, and I dropped out of junior high school, so I taught myself calligraphy...... Later, he left his hometown and was hired by some schools because of his good handwriting. Usually, employers are required to fill out a resume form, such as name, date of birth, ethnicity, educational background, experience, expertise, etc., before interviewing. However, these schools, perhaps because of the "peculiarities" of calligraphy, did not allow me to fill out the form.
Later, with his "expertise", he worked in some companies, and he had to fill out a resume form when applying. At the beginning, I filled in junior high school, but I was unwilling and afraid of losing "face", so I simply filled in "literacy", so that the other party could not see "how deep the water is", maybe I thought that I was "modest" intentionally, but fortunately there was a "specialty" column at the back of the form, so I filled in "member of Guizhou Calligraphers Association". Hehe, now in the eyes of the other party, he has become a provincial calligrapher. I remember that in the first interview, the interviewer joked, "How much more than a literate calligrapher."
In life, I often encounter some forms to fill in, there is usually a column of academic qualifications, and each time I fill in the five flavor miscellaneous bottles, but then I have more confidence than before, perhaps because my "major" (calligraphy) has won awards in the country and become a calligrapher in the real sense, I don't need academic qualifications to prove myself, but I still don't want to fill in the academic qualifications that make people a little "tangled". However, I remember one time when I confidently filled in my academic qualifications as "junior college". The reason is: I had a correspondence course at Guizhou Provincial Art College in my early years, and I clearly remember that the certificate was written with the words "Completion of a single subject of calligraphy college". In addition, with the nearly 100 articles I have published in various reviews, essays, and travelogues in journals at all levels, I think it is enough to prove that it is no longer measured by academic qualifications, and maybe filling in "junior college" is still "low".
After that time, I always felt that filling in the "junior college" seemed to be a bit "fake" and uneasy. Because academic qualifications mainly refer to the reading part of compulsory education, of course, it also includes university academic qualifications, and my correspondence course for half a year is strictly not a academic qualification, and it is only a short-term study or training of personal calligraphy. It was then that I suddenly understood that a person's abilities, expertise, and achievements have little to do with academic qualifications. Education refers to the experience of reading, and expertise is one's own specialty in a certain aspect, which is usually not possessed by ordinary people, and some even reach the level of experts or masters, such as Qi Baishi, a painter born as a carpenter, and Mr. Qigong, a calligrapher who only has a junior high school education, and so on.
Soon, I encountered a similar form, and instead of filling in "junior college" in the academic column, I changed to "literacy". On the one hand, I don't want to "cheat", and on the other hand, I feel that "junior college" seems to be too indiscriminate nowadays, and it seems that anyone who wants to have a "diploma" can do it. If you fill in "literacy", maybe others will "look up" because there is a contrast between "education" and "expertise" (the greater the contrast, the higher the level).
Recently, I was recommended by others to join a democratic party. Similarly, I don't know what to fill in the academic qualifications column. After hesitating for a while, I filled in "literacy" and changed it to "junior high school", and when I felt that it was not appropriate, I changed it to "self-study", and then confidently added the word "Chengcai".
For the diploma of academic qualifications, I have never thought about obtaining it in my life, and I don't have the energy to gnaw on the books that are "born for diplomas". There is a saying: "Art comes from life" or "Life itself is art." Then, according to this logic, I believe that "the 'diploma' of academic qualifications should come from life experience." The richer the experience, the higher the "academic qualifications" of knowledge should be. Use the "heart" to learn (understand) life, realize the truth, goodness and beauty of life (between), and use literature and art to whip the false, ugly and evil. This is far more powerful than "books".
Nowadays, the state attaches great importance to education, millions of college students graduate every year, and employers have higher and stricter requirements for academic qualifications, from junior college, undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, etc. "Diploma-only theory" seems to have become the best yardstick for measuring "talent" in this era. But for some reason, "high scores and low ability" often become criticized by people...... Not long ago, the famous art critic Chen Danqing wrote an article "Diploma is a guarantee of mediocrity" to ridicule and expose this phenomenon. Not only that, but in recent years, most of those who have violated the law and discipline and violated the law and discipline by abusing power for personal gain, trading power for money, trading power for sex, and bending the law for bribes are often those with high academic qualifications.
Woohoo, academic qualifications are not only not related to ability (major) and a person's achievements, but also seem to have nothing to do with a person's character.
